Just what I needed.
I was requiring more weight for a Cape Buffalo hunt. This worked perfect
Works great
Fits great in the Traditional Only 300 carbon shafts. Shooting carbons out of the box would void my bow's warranty, and these are a good way to add weight without weakening the spine. You might think tubes like these could actually increase spine, but the spine tester doesn't budge when you add these. Too bad. Only real issue is that some of them were cut a little short and don't… read more quite fill the whole shaft, but you can make up the difference with off cuts.
It brought my arrows up to 705 gr's and made my bow whisper
They quoted up my bow just like I wanted
These will work well for adding weight
There are small cuts on each end of these tubes, I am not sure why. Maybe to make them easier to insert the end into the arrow. I would prefer there not to be a cut. Luckily there is enough length to trim off the cuts. Otherwise, they fit nicely inside my standard victory decimator 350 spine arrows
Love it! Had spinal and shoulder pass thru paired with 200 g
Used to make heavier arrow setup and for indoor archery with my compound. Fun to play with. If I wanted high foc. I just cut off a length and used flex seal to put it in. Fun to experiment with
Perfect for my needs
My arrows are spined correctly but we're just to light for my preference... these solved that problem and besides having to adjust the sight pins, they worked perfectly for my needs
Works as advertised
Most of what's said is accurate. They seem to stiffen spine but that could as well be from the added weight. I fixed that by bare shafting with them installed. I used these in beman ics Bowhunter 500 which are 7.3 going. They will punch out your nocks if the arrow hits something hard. We'll see how a little hot melt glue on the nock works. A huge and unexpected positive for me is… read more that they dampen the sound of your arrows when they bang against each other, the bow, and limbs and bushes when moving through the woods.
Adds weight to arrows
Adds weight to practice arrows to match hunting arrows.
I would buy this again but
The 5/16 would not fit the heritage shafts I shot on my trad bow but the smaller ones fit my fmj's fit my arrows for my compound bow perfectly
A trad hunters must have
Most of us have switched to carbon shafts these days, but for the trad hunter it leaves something to desire concerning kinetic energy. These tubes give a trad hunter a way to get the arrow weight you need to help quiet the bow, and get penetration where it needs to be for an effective shot on big game. I have paired the 5gpi tubes with gold tip hunter xt's (Which aren't sold by… read more three rivers for some reason), 100g inserts, and 125g broadheads. Add 5" shields to that and it tops out at 694 grains. I feel like they do stiffen arrow spine slightly, so keep that in mind when u buy arrows or just go up in point weight. All n all a hunter can't go without these when building big game trad arrows.
That order number was for the black ones, which are 3 grains per inch. The gray are 5 grains per inch.
.203 ID will fit that shaft.
Yes its safe to shoot the tube could move some inside arrow.
That order number was for the black ones, which are 3 grains per inch. The gray are 5 grains per inch.
I'm sorry, but these are made for carbon arrows only, as they will vibrate inside an aluminum shaft. They fit a .246" inside diameter though.
This price is for a full dozen.
The 5/16" fit the .0246 and the micro arrows will take the 1/4".
I'm not sure how it doesn't affect spine, but they don't.Shot them with a few trad bows and a compound. No change at all.
The 9/32 tubes will fit but are loose inside the shafts , you may be able to crush the tube with pliers to take some of the play out of them .
They are a 5/16" arrow.
I do believe that a 5/16 weight tube would be the best size for the arrow that you have.
