Bought these in town and was excited to see they were from 3Rivers because I've wanted more wooden arrows from here for a while. I noticed that one of the nocks was crooked, but it didn't bother me. The first shot I took, the nock malfunctioned and exploded , cause isn't the string to hit my arm several times. The second shot I took, the nock broke and fell off when it hit the target. read more The next day, this happened again. Three of the six arrows were in need of repairs in the first 2 times shooting them. Some of the fletching are starting to come up on the fronts too. On a positive note, they are straight and fly very well. I thought they would be heavier, which is a plus. Overall, I do not know if I would purchase these again, but they are not horrible arrows.

I've fired this set of arrows into target at least 2,000 times since I received them and they fly true and show little to no wear.

Great Wood Arrows

Making the switch from carbon arrows to wood arrows. So I order 6 of these in 55-60 spine arrows with 125 gr field points. And they are flying great out of 69 Bear Kmag 45lb recurve. They are so good I just now ordered 6 more! Hoping to use them this coming season to hunt deer. I would recommend these wood arrows to someone looking to try some out.

I just bought a 64" longbow with a 45# draw. I was wondering what you would recommend for the perfect hunting arrows for it?

I'm guessing that you are saying your longbow has a weight of 45#at 28". I would suggest a 500 carbon traditional gold tips. For wood, order the test kit. You will probably settle on 45-50 lb spine. Shoot a few and see how it goes. There are quite a few variables to getting the "perfect arrow". Just shoot a few and have fun with it.

Hi i know wood arrow varies in weight. But what is rough weight for complete shaft of 80-85+ spine arrow, full length not counting the point, just shaft and nock ?

Grain weight can vary widely even in the same spine category. I measured a 12 pack and the weight ranged from 430-470 grains. Other packs may be a little lighter or a little heavier.

If you look on the site under the "Learn from the Experts" menu there is an option for a "Spine Calculator" or the "Spine Charts" That is how I figured out which ones to order for my bow. https://www.3riversarchery.com/dynamic-spine-arrow-calculator-from-3rivers-archery.html https://www.3riversarchery.com/pdf/ArrowCharts.pdf ****@***.***> ha scritto:

I use the spine calculator on the 3riversarchery website to input bow information and tinker with arrow setup to get a finely tuned arrow. Other than that spine charts available online give insight based on bow type and poundage - Craig Tunkavige

55-60# at 31" would be my recommendation. Though, not knowing what bow and string you are shooting exactly, a test kit in the heavier spine would be the best starting point. https://www.3riversarchery.com/3rivers-hunters-arrows-test-kit.html
