Versatile and Very Strong

I use this adhesive to secure all my field points, broadheads and nocks to the wooden arrows I make...for gluing inserts on carbon and aluminum arrows. And also to glue the pieces of previously broken arrows together that have been tapered / cut to fit with the Arrow Fix Arrow Repair Tool - The long drying time means you can make necessary adjustments before the glue sets.. But read more it also means the glue you mixed is less likely to dry out before you are finished with your project or fitting your pieces together.. Once dried, points and broadheads glued to a wooden shaft with this product will not come off until extreme heat is applied.. And nocks bond to the shaft so well they will break before they slip off. A little too messy and long drying in my opinion to use for fletching. But for other arrow making applications it is by far the best adhesive I have ever found. I can't speak for how well it does or does not stick to other surfaces beyond the ones I mentioned above. Those are the only applications I have used it for.

Wouldn't use anything else for inserts

I use this on all my inserts. Once left overnight it makes as secure a hold as I have ever witnessed. Your shaft will break well before the insert comes out.

I put the epoxy around the shank of the insert. I then twist the insert as I push it into the shaft to make sure that I get good coverage. Keep a paper towel handy to wipe off the excess.

Could boiling water be used to debond the product from carbon shafts?? and adapters and broadheads??

The water will not get to a high enough temperature. Your best 13 years ago

The water will not get to a high enough temperature. Your best best is to screw a field point into the insert and heat the field point. You should be able to get the insert out without damaging the shaft.

Asked by Black Bear in the woods 13 years ago

Are you able to debond the epoxied parts?? i used this on my heritage 250 shafts with my points and brass adapters i bought from you guys, and i was wondering if i could seperate them

If you heat it up enough you should be able to break it loose. 13 years ago

If you heat it up enough you should be able to break it loose. You may damage you shaft in the process, however. You will want to apply the heat to the field point, NOT TO THE CARBON. The heat can ruin the carbon. You will want to use as little as possible to get the job done.
