These did not work very well

I always use an aluminum screw-in adapter with a 125gr point. I ordered the 5/16" adapters and 5/16" steel target points. The taper on the adapters did not fit the points. I had to cut the tips off. The threads were also about 3/32" too long which prevented the taper from bottoming out against the end of the adapter. Also, these adapters were hollow, so they required adding weight read more to match the ones I already had. Too much hassle.

Highly recommend

Using these with the long bodkins and work really well with carbon arrows, if you like old style arrowheads but don't want to use wood arrows I highly recommend trying these or the steel ones.

I would buy this again.

Fitment of stated inserts was not a good fit I went with 3-Rivers recommendations per website but the longer ones would be better for Zwick broad heads,

A good product.

A good way to add weight up front and to use glue on broad heads that I already have.

I always buy Adaptors. Even shooting carbon or aluminum. I can get perfect alignment. Just warm up the glue give a slight twist and check again. As fAr as durability, I would guess these have worked for thousands and thousands of animals. Bear razor heads weren't mounted on steel. Zwickey, history can't be denied.

I liked the inserts because they were easy to install and they fit well into the broadheads.

Check carefully

I have the long and short 5/16 . they don't fit threaded inserts worth a darn .I tried 3 different name brand inserts and resorted to shaving several adapters on my lathe ! C'mon now . I did not have issues with the 11/32 adapters I purchased .

I assume you mean for mounting points onto these broadhead adapters. I personally use epoxy for the strength it provides.

I would have to say the steel adapters are best but if you are going with the auminums id use the longer ones, more weight up front equals better penetration. Get Outlook for Android< https://aka.ms/AAb9ysg>

yes these will work great for you, I would recommend in using the short 11/32 adapters if you plan using the Bear Razorhead with the bleeder or the long adapter without the bleeder. I would also recommend in the AAE two part epoxy item number 8139.

Use the long adapter. The short adapter is used for broadheads that use replaceable bleeder blades. These blades must be past through the furrel , so there can't be the long nose of a long adapter in the way.

I'm using G5 Montecs and XX75 2315's. Will these eliminate the flat shoulder where the base (or ferrule) of the broadhead sits on the larger diameter arrow shaft?

These would be for converting a glue on broadhead to screw in. 6 years ago

These would be for converting a glue on broadhead to screw in.

Asked by Chad 6 years ago

I'm running G5 Montec's 100gr on 2375 Easton's. Do I need an insert? The broadhead ferrule is of smaller diameter than the arrow shaft. I'm also thinking I'm a little lite on the front end.
