Great Product
By using the test kit I was able to pick the right spined arrow for a new high performance longbow I'd recently purchased without having to buy several dozen arrows to test. In less than an hour I had a bare shaft shooting dead-on at thirty yards and with the FOC design was able to go from five inch fletching to three inch. Also with the FOC design I can tell a difference in the… read more arrow impacting the target harder. Can't wait to see what it does on flesh and bone. My only complaint with the Hammerhead is the finish. My new bow incorporates a plunger button and the shaft makes noise when drawn against it unlike other arrows I've tried, but this is a minor problem considering all the pluses.
Arrow Dynamics Hammer Head Lite Arrows
Great shafts! Incredibly durable. I like the dull wood grain look.
Test Kit A includes one each of model: Traditional, Traditional Lite, and Traditional XLite - 3 shafts total Test Kit B includes one each of model: Black XLite, Lite, and Traditional - 3 shafts total Test Kit C includes one of each model: Traditional, Hammer Head, Traditional Lite, Hammer Head Lite- 4 shafts total The new designs use a .204 ID press in nock compared to the unique ID nock that they used before. Makes them easier to use with other components. The Stinger are a ultra micro nock end (.165: ID) for even more FOC weight on the front.
This is the closest I can get these into spines . xlites are 600's T lites are 500's and so on. Trad x lite=25-45# trad lite =35-55# Trad =55-70# HH lite =35-55# HH =55-70# HH heavy=65-80#
If you were going to use the Arrow Dynamics shaft; the only shaft I would consider would be Hammer Head Heavy 65-80# and adjust the lenght for best flight. Tapered shafts can be more difficult to tune in the beginning than a straight shaft. As far as the fit of the inserts I have seen no complaints lately.
I would not recommend that you use either of those arrows with this bow. You would need to leave the shafts full length and stack over 250 grains up front to make the spine weak enough to use with that bow. Give us a call at 1-866-587-9501 and we will try to find some arrows that will work for you.
I highly recomend trying the Hammerhead series test kit. Most likely you're going to have to do some cutting on the shaft no matter what you try, but with the plunger button it's going to be quick and easy to tune your bow. My Alaskan is a 45 pound @ 28 and I'm shooting a 30 inch Hammerhead Traditional with a 165 grain point. This bow and arrow combination is the best I've had in almost 50 years of shooting traditional equipment. I think these shaft were 32 inches before I cut them. Hope this helps.
Test Kit B has the Hammerhead Heavyweight shaft. The shafts in it are more expensive than the shafts that are in Test Kit C.
These arrows are not fletched and they do not have the tips installed. All of our test kits are going to be bare shafts with no points. I will not be able to suggest a test kit without the weight of the bow. Please give us a call at 1-866-587-9501 and we will do our best to find a kit that will suit your needs.

Yes test kit b would be the black shafts.
