this book was a absolute must for me when i begain shooting traditional coming from compounds having no one that new anything about trasitional archery it helped me to get started and get my foot in the door. if your just starting out check it out its a excellent sorce for the entry level

B. Sorrells begins with equipment set up and tuning. Shooting starts at three feet and is gradually extended to five, ten, twenty, forty and sixty feet. The Beginner's Guide to Traditional Archery does not have a DVD version. You might want to consider G. Fred Asbell or Byron Ferguson for something like that.
