Will not use this product in the future
Problems with glue holding feathers to crested carbon shafts. Tried leaving glued up shaft's in jig for extended period, to no avail. Will not used this product in the future.
Strong bond, Longer than expected setup
I used this to glue nocks and feathers. The gel stayed where I put it. Once set it held tight. The set up time was longer than expected... about twenty minutes between setting the new feather.
Great Glue
Great glue for fletching & inserts. Perfect consistency. Not too thin- not too thick.
Better than super glue
Three years ago and with a single fletching jig, this adhesive and, the accelerator, I have fletched 2 dozen arrows in as little as 45 minutes and my hunting partner and I have been shooting those 2 dozen since. This adhesive has also worked great in repairing porcelain, ceramic and, glass collectables around the house.
Novice at carbon arrow inserts
I've use wood arrow shafts for years. I tried some carbons and they flew great. Obviously, I had to "make" me a dozen. I've always heard that you can not use hot melt glue to install the inserts. I used this stuff and it is holding up great. I'm hard on equipment and not one insert has pulled out during my stump shooting.
Beyond bond glue
Used this for the first time. Found out it is slow drying. Although supposed to be a gel, it still ran some on the arrow shaft when drying. I didn't buy the accelerator, why should one need that when there are other cyanoacralates that dry quickly without the extra expense
Use Sparingly
The bond is extremely strong, so if you use even a little too much, it scrapes off very hard. Something a little less aggressive would make repairs easier.
Good Stuff.
I use tape to fletch and with the advice of the 3R tech help, I use a drop of Beyond Bond fore and aft on the fletching. It holds up really well for stump shooting. I must have not cleared the spout properly or let the bottle drop on it's side, and it clogged. I was able to save the bottle by unscrewing the top with the glued-on lid and boiling it until the glue softened up. I… read more was able to degunk it and not throw it away.
Good Stuff!
Fletched a dozen arrows in a couple of hours with a single-fletch jig. Fast, sticks tight, doesn't run all over the place. The best I've used by far. I fully expect to ruin the carbon shafts before I wear off this glue!
Some Serious Glue
Don't glue anything with this stuff that you don't want to be stuck forever. I have never seen any glue hold up to the punishment that this glue has been through. I use it on all of my archery gear, and around the house. This is some serious glue.
Yes, it will work. No, it is not recommended. The Axis arrows will come with their own two part epoxy that will provide a better hold than any of the single part adhesives.
Yes, this adhesive will work on aluminum arrows and vanes.
