Beautiful arrows!! These 400 spine arrows fly straight and accurate, with good penetration out of my 45# Old Mountain Mesa longbow!! Very consistent! Seem durable too. Beautiful, quality construction. Will be an awesome hunting setup with the Mesa!!

I mainly use these for stumping with the longbow and sometimes shoot targets. they group well, even though the set i have may be a little light for the bow. they stand up to the abuse that stumping in the PNW puts them through; no cracked shafts yet only had to refletch a couple. it's hard to find an arrow that the inserts/ nocks/ fletches dont come out on when you are using arrows read more the way i do so its not a bid deal for me when this happens.

I've enjoyed these arrows

I shoot a lot of arrows and these are definitely rated in my top 5

Shoot great

The 500s shoot great out of my 55# longbow with a 125 grain broad head and similar with a 100 grain field point. I like wooden arrows, but these are a lot more durable and overall consistent. My bow is quiet, but with these all I hear is the arrow hitting the target. I shot the wooden fence with them a couple times due to an early release and they held up fine. I'm ordering read more a second set for hunting and back ups now.

The inserts are tapped for accepting screw-in weights on the back. Their is a Black Eagle weight system, but the Gold Tip is threaded the same, so yes they will work with these inserts.

Matt, I shoot a Scythian style bow off the hand and a Navajo Apa 3 years ago

Matt, I shoot a Scythian style bow off the hand and a Navajo Apache Take Down by Mr. Roy Hill. The Navajo and Scythian are both 50 lbs at 29" which is my draw. I use Black Eagle Vintage 500 and Beamon Centershot 500 in both bows with excellent results. The Navajo bow has an arrow rest vs. my hand. To be honest I would also recommend calling Three Rivers to talk one of their experts. They have never steered me wrong. Best of luck to you and I hope this helps. Dan
