Best arrows for long draw length shooters
Great when tuning for multiple bows at different draw #
I used these to bare shaft tune for my Osage self bow and for my takedown bow
A great tool for getting the correct arrow spine & tip
I bought a new takedown recurve and made the mistake of buying arrows locally based on the packaging charts and the archery shop suggestion. 45 lb draw and 29.5" . They sold me 400. Turns out 600 with 200gn tips and 32" arrow are perfect.

Black Eagle recommended field point for these arrows is 5/16
I would recommend starting with them full length and cut them down as needed. We can always cut them down if you wanted us to.
They'll cut them any length that you want. I doubt their are many that shoot them at full length. I do recommend also purchasing the field tip test kit as well.
If youre using them as a test arrow youll want to start long and keep cutting down. If you dont have an arrow saw pick one up or go to your local archery shop. You can always cut length off but you cant add length so its best to start long.
You will install the inserts and use the field point that you plan on shooting, but yes you will shoot them as they are and cut them down slowly as needed.
Start with the chart suggested shaft for your draw weight and broadhead weight. Keep the shaft long and cut it down gradually until the shaft is showing slightly weak when bare shafting. This will be slightly nock left for a right hander. Once you get there fletch them and shoot. If you get nock right it's too stiff and you can only add weight up front or go to a weaker shaft.
You'll need to glue the inserts in but yes. They're made to bare shaft without fletchings to see which spine weight will work best. They can be cut down and used for fine tuning also. Hope that helps. Ryan. Sent from my iPhone
Shoot them without fletchings at close range and note the nock position.(make sure string nock height is correct or you will get false readings) Chose the spine that shoots a little weak (nock left for right handed archer). When you buy the set of arrows they can be cut to stiffen the spine for your bow. Look up bare shaft arrow tuning for more information. Sent from my T-Mobile 4G LTE Device
You want to build them with you insert and point weight configuration that you are wanting to use. When you shoot them and find one that is just a little weak (nock left) then start cutting off small portions of the arrow until you have it hitting straight. All this is done bare shaft. These arrows are 34 inches out of the box - most people will need to cut them down (not straightforward with carbon arrows - you may be able to have your shop cut them for you). After that you will need to glue in the inserts (included). Nocks are already installed. I need long and limber arrows (31.5 inch draw, 30# recurve). I ordered the test shaft kit and an assortment of field points, and used them unfletched to determine which shaft shot best with my bow. Worked well enough that I ordered the pre- fletched 600s. Compared fletched and unfletched performance to fine tune arrows (settle on a point weight in this case). I Sent from my iPhone
