Smooth release

these have been the best i have used throughout the years , including with compoundbows . after breakin and trimming , a long lasting tab , protects fingers , and provides a crisp release . have used them on traditional bows up to 64lbs. with no regrets . even when sweaty they perform .

Very good.

Very comfortable and strong. It does wear and show marks after a bit. I have 3. My origional one ive had for about 2yrs now. It shows a level of wear that says its been used, but isn't tearing or breaking. It's almost like it reaches a level of broken in, then stops wearing. Stitching is amazing and the velcro is lasting very well.

I would buy this product again

I bought this in LH for my wife since she is beginning to learn how to shoot a recurve and she really likes it. I ordered one in RH later for me. Very smooth release

Great tab to start off with!

A well built inexpensive tab for a beginner. The calf half makes for a quick and smooth release. Holds up well after being wet and easy to adjust to flip over your fingers.

One of my favorite tabs

I used to shoot with a tab, but then I switched to a glove years ago. I got an urge to shoot with a tab again for some reason, and I couldn't find any of the old tabs I used to like so well--my favorite being a seal skin tab I got in the 1990s. I think this current Black Widow is as good or better than any tab I have ever had except the seal skin one.

Not for me

It feels stiff as a board in the back half. I do like that it uses velcro to hold it to your finger. It makes it easy to hold and keep with the bow after shooting so you do not leave it behind. But it is not comfortable and you would probably want to leave this one behind. Stick with the Cordova tab with a finger spacer.

A very comfortable tab to shoot

Then Black Widow tab was my favorite tab back in the 1970s, and so I thought I'd give it another try recently. It's still a great tab, and I think I'll be shooting it more often. It has one particularly feature that's both a big plus and a problem: The are two large leather flaps that wrap around over the middle finger and under the index finger and protect the fingers from abrasion, read more making this a very comfortable tab to shoot. Back in the 70s, the flaps, which were made of a lighter material, tended to wear out quickly. On today's BW tab they're made of a lightweight leather, and should last a lot longer. I'm goi g to try using this tab for the next few months and see how well it wears.

When the fingers are bent and the string is seated in the tab the edge of the tab should be right at the end of your finger tips. I usually recommend going one size to large and trimming the tab if needed.

Shooting Gloves/Tabs Extend your hand flat. With a measuring tape, wrap it around the hand just below the knuckles and fingers, but above the thumb. Apply the measurement to the chart below. Order the smaller size if an in-between size, as leather does tend to strech to fit. Gloves/Tabs If Hand Measures Men's Sizes 7.5" - 8" = Small 8.5" - 9" = Medium 9.5" -10" = Large 10.5"-11" = X-Large

I do not cover my finger tips with the tab. It is too hard to get a good anchor. Do not hold the string on the tip of your fingers, Use a deep hook. You only want enough tap to have a good quality deep hook. Leave the finger tip clear to feel them in the corner of your mouth. Therefore the average man hand uses a medium tab. I use a small tab as I have short fat fingers.
