Ferr-L-Tite Cool Flex is the latest addition to the Bohning line of insert glues. It is a soft melt with a relatively low melting temperature, and is a very easy material to work with. Cool Flex was specially formulated with carbon arrow inserts in mind. It is a royal blue color, which allows for it to be easily identifiable, as well as to see placement and coverage on the insert. ...read more

Yes i would buy this product again
I learned about this product on a Nu Sensei video. I am a newbie and wanted something easy to use with the ability to remove or adjust the insert after initial installation and that was compatible with carbon arrow ( low heat melt point)
Works great easy to use if you have a torch.
I used on carbon shafts with great results
Great for ahereing and alighnment of inserts
i have used this product on carbon arrows , for installing inserts . I find that when installing broadheads , that they need to be rotated for alignment in relation to vanes to maintain consistency through out all the shafts . by heating up the tip , you can then rotate to desired position .
Great product , lends versatility in referencing broadheads
just have a few paper towels handy to clean off excess glue , must have a propane style torch , apply a thin coat too insert , works best on carbon arrows , melts easily , rotate insert in arrow shaft to make sure it's evenly distributed around insert , bonds quickly , if you need to index your broadheads , simply heat up tip of arrow , rotate to desired index to feathers , bonds… read more back in seconds
Junk
This product has all the adhesive quality's of bubblegum. I've lost field points in hay bales and in bag targets. Thought I would give it a try, won't make that mistake again.
Excellent insert glue
This is an excellent glue for carbon arrow inserts. It is very easy to use and easy to reheat/remelt the glue if point adjustment is desired. The only problem that occurred for me is when I hit a rock, the glue bond broke and the insert got loose. Overall though, this is an excellent product and a lot quicker and easier than epoxy, IMO.
Fine tune those carbon shafts!
Great product for tuning those new carbon shafts!
Works great!!
Works very well with very low melting point and cools very quick and will not hurt carbon arrows. Used it to bare shaft tune my carbon arrows to my recurve and it made the posses simple and easy.
Easy,fast and very simple.
easy, quick, and no mess!
This would not be able to be used on loose fletching as this glue has to be heated and you would burn your fletching. I would recommend the arrow mate glue (item number 4372X) to tack down loose fletchings.
No it has to be heated.
It doesn't require a lot of heat. So anything that will warm the shaft will probably work. A candle is a good source to use.
Best I've found is just running my tip and insert area of arrow under my hot tap water and it'll lose'n after a minute or so Sent from my iPhone
You can insert a 8-32 screw, heat it with a torch or alcohol burner and yank it out with plyers. Don't heat to long, try every few seconds. A field point will work too.
I would recommend the standard Ferr-L-Tite as I believe you will get a stronger bond.
Yes, the Bohning Ferr-L-Tite Cool Flex will work with any arrow material.
Yes
I recommend using the normal Fer-l-Tite for wood arrows. It will provide a strong bond.
I had problems with it on my hardwood shafts. It seemed very weak compared to the normal yellow ferr-l-tite.
I usually let the glue cure for about 5 to 10 minutes after application and let air cool with any issues.
Yes, just never put heat directly to a carbon shaft or get it so hot that you burn the carbon.
It will adhere approx. 144 inserts.
This will EASILY adhere to 144 inserts. If you look at the large picture of the blue stick, it says "Bohning Ferr-L-Tite." Mine only lost the very last "e" and that's after 12 inserts. Don't worry, this will be good for several dozen arrows.
