I will buy again.
After decades this is still a quality product.
Nice product
This item is great and it can be used in a hot pot.
Great stuff.
I use this for broad heads and field points.
Perfect for use in camp or feild
I keep it in my tackle box and essential pack.
Fast, easy and strong
Easily applied with heat. Holds well and also reversible when needed.
I would buy this item again
The products that 3Rivers offers are always of good quality.
The best
I've been using this product for 40 years and it still cannot be beat
Solid glue stick
First time user ! Very ez !
FerrL tite point glue
I love this glue
Ferr-l -tite
Works good and is very traditional,if there is such a thing
Use hot melt, just heat the point again and it will come off easily
I use the low temp stuff for testing.
Simply just heat the tip over a candle or burner the glue will soften and you can pull the tip off Austin A Joy
Hello, Sorry for the late reply. I reheat the tip and it easily comes off with a pair of pliers. -Lynn
I feel there are some better options, like the Bohning Insert Iron (Item #4455). However, you should be able to use the Ferr-L-Tite.
Hi, Personally I use XX75 Camo Hunters in fact just ordered a dozen from 3Rivers. I use The Bohning Ferr-L- Tite hot melt adhesive. However I would recommend using Bohning Insert Iron glue as no heat is used and i have used the product on several aluminum shafts with no problems. In my case I just prefer the hot melt. I would be apprehensive using the hot melt on a carbon shaft. Thanks for the question. Hope this helped
You can use a lighter if you want to but a bigger flame works a lot better.
Yes, you can use a regular lighter. The Ferr-L-Tite does not require a high-intensity heat source. I have used a match stick, as well as a micro-butane torch with good results. Thx
No, this glue will not work with the glue pot.
Yes
I used it on aluminum arrows when I installed the aluminum inserts and also used it for attaching broadheads to the aluminum Screw-In Broadhead Adapters sold by 3rivers. The glue is good (so are the adapters), holds tight and is easy to install and remove when needed.
Yes, you will just need to heat up the point or adapter and the glue will reverse.
Yes, you can use hot melt glues for the broadhead adapters.
A candle, alcohol burner, butane torch, oil lamp, campfire are all good heat sources.
Stay away from candles. They produce soot which mixes with the glue and weakens the bond. Okay for emergency repair in the field but that is all.
You should be able to install 3 to 4 dozen points with one stick.
Yes, Ferr-L-Tite will work well for gluing field points on to wooden arrows.
Yes , I have used this stuff alot and has yet to fail me.
