Hi, Personally I use XX75 Camo Hunters in fact just ordered a dozen from 3Rivers. I use The Bohning Ferr-L- Tite hot melt adhesive. However I would recommend using Bohning Insert Iron glue as no heat is used and i have used the product on several aluminum shafts with no problems. In my case I just prefer the hot melt. I would be apprehensive using the hot melt on a carbon shaft. Thanks for the question. Hope this helped

I used it on aluminum arrows when I installed the aluminum inserts and also used it for attaching broadheads to the aluminum Screw-In Broadhead Adapters sold by 3rivers. The glue is good (so are the adapters), holds tight and is easy to install and remove when needed.

Stay away from candles. They produce soot which mixes with the glue and weakens the bond. Okay for emergency repair in the field but that is all.
