Works well looks great
Easy-to-use durable
Bohning Fletch-lac
Bright durable finishes used with fletch tape this time, great combination. Solid product.
Be carefull
im pretty new to cresting and didnt think i could go wrong with bohning but these are very inconsistent as far as when you get them. you really have to put alot of time into adding thinner to get the right consistency. but i will say when you do its worth it. i have lots of other paints but nothing looks as good as bohning. just wish they were easier to use from the get go. and… read more a wider color range.
Dries quickly and very durable
A little thick as it comes, but no real complaint as it just gives me a little more as it is thinned.
Cresting Lacquers
Best used when fresh to avoid it drying out. It was the industry first and still the best product made for cresting arrows.
"Time is precious, use the best paint"
Bohning Cresting Paints are such good quality, I only wish they had more colors in their dipping paint line to match.
Work fine
I use these because it is just eaiser to use the Bohning system. I want my arrows to stick to the shaft and this system I have never had a problem in over 20 years and countless arrows.
Great product
Great coverage on the arrow. looks geart. Make sure to thin with lac thinner.
Bohning stuff is great!
Bohning products cost more than all the other options you can find in a paint department, but it is made for arrows and arrow building. Use Bohning lacquers and platinum fletch tite and it does not get any better! You dont won't "fletching failure" when hunting! Use Bohning!
I have not used the Acry-Lac paint, so I really don't know how well it performs. I have always been happy with the Fletch-Lac paints. The Fletch-Lac has been durable with great results with my experience using the product.
There is two different manufactures involved and the colors may not match. The colors are reasonably close and you will not see a great difference. Saturn yellow is a brighter yellow leaning towards lime colored but the color the paint ends up being is also determined by the color of the base layer paint.
If the colors do not match the desired fletching, you can mix the primary colors to match. I don’t know the difference between Saturn yellow and yellow. I only own yellow. But again, if you like, you can mix the metallics into the basic colors. I am sorry if this does not help.
Couldn't tell you if they match the fetching well but the Saturn yellow is like a neon yellow, hope this helps
I think the colors match up well. Not sure on the different yellows.
You will need to seal the arrows with a lacquer or a clear coat. A spray on polyurethane works well with most paints and stains.
Bohning products only work with other Bohning products so I would not recommend it. The Whispering Wind cresting paints would work though: http://www.3riversarchery.com/Arrow+Building+Cresting+Paint+Pro++By+Whispering+Wind_c52_s184_p240_i8100X_product.html
