Don't work well stock-fitted on the High Plains Hunter arrow

These nocks came fitted to the High Plains Hunter carbon arrows I received with my recurve bow kit and they worked fine for the first two weeks of shooting but I had one nock completely loosen up so it easily came out of the shaft and another loosening up as well. Not sure if it's the arrow shafts that aren't uniform on the inside diameter or if it's the nocks but since the nocks… read more are a much softer material than the carbon shafts then they need to be made just a bit wider so they'll squeeze in tightly and positively and won't come out unless you WANT them to, lol. I preferred to replace the nocks rather than glue the Bohnings back in just in the event I'd have to change something else out later.

Works well for me

I have been shooting and building arrows for 40+ years. I consistently use a fluorescent green knock. Kind of a signature color plus it is easy to find. This knock almost glows. It fits the arrow tightly and has a raised bump that is easy to feel when lined up properly with the flight feather. The color is bright and clean. If one fits your set up, they all will. If one doesn't fit, well you need to keep looking.

Great Nocks!

I use these nocks for target practice, and they're good for 15-20 yards and you can see the nock clearly. I ordered the neon green ones and they've been great, they even illuminate a bit in the dusk, so you can shoot til the suns going down. These nocks fit standard carbon arrows

I have some Gold Tips and some cheap carbon arrows from Wal-Mart and these nocks fit very well on all.
