These adapters are a great way to increase F.O.C. weight and attach the broadhead straight to the shaft. I used J.B. Weld to glue them into the carbon shaft and to attach the broadheads as well. It is recommended that you use a stiff wire broadhead brush to rough up the inside surface of the broadhead for better adhesion. I've been a super serious bowhunter since 1972. I've shot all types of archery and broadhead setups. Using these with glue on broadheads is the strongest system going. There is also aluminum ones too if you don't need this much weight up front. I shoot carbon arrows and I'd suggest also using a aluminum collar that 3 rivers sells to put on the broadhead end of the shaft too. This… read more makes the set up even tougher.

These are exactly as described so I can't fault 3Rivers or anyone else, but I had to modify them. I really didn't like the way the points looked with the 11/32"ferrule so I used my sander and arrow taper guide block to bring them down to 5/16". Took about 20 grains off each adapter, but now 5/16" points fit great and look much better in my opinion. Yes it limits my broadhead selection,… read more but I'll probably be using this set for primarily target shooting anyway.

I bought these because i cant stand my arrowheads unscrewign or rusting into the inserts, they add weight for penetration and easy to switch from broadheads to target points, great product 10/10

This item is PERFECT for me, I use glue on heads and this allows me to use them, wood shafts tend to break and warp, but i can use these with carbons and they are perfect for any hunter, i recommend these 100%

How much of the insert will go into the arrow shaft compared with a gold tip 100 grain insert? Will there be enough to act as shaft footing?
It wont be as long as the GT 100s.
