Refletching is very difficult
Overall the arrows are good and would probably purchase again. However the wood grain finish is not very durable and is quick to come off. Also the fletchings were difficult to remove. I had one fletching come off from a pass through on a target. Removing the remaining fletchings was very much a challenge and required one of the fletching removing tools to avoid excessively damaging… read more the finish. The clear wrap is also very difficult to remove. Also I felt that the fletchings were too far back for my personal preference. I prefer them a little more forward. Quality of the fletching work was great. Just very much a pain if you have to re fletch.
Great arrow
I have used these arrows over the years and never had an issue. Hunting , target and stump shooting!
Great arrows for the price!
These were great. I ordered 12 of them about a year ago and ran them through the biggest beating ever. I used them for small and big game hunting, I ended up taking tons of rabbits and squirrels, 2 coyotes and a nice 8 point buck this fall with these arrows. I'm finally down to my last 3 of them and will definitely be ordering another set.
Highly recommend
I hunt Deer Pigs Goats Foxes Hares and Rabbits and feral cats Awesome on all game Clean Kills complete pass through on all I've shot
Axis arrows
like the look and how they shoot
Quality Arrows
These have always performed and lasted well. I've never had an issue with the fletching; I have alway broke or lost arrows before refletching was necessary. The wood grain finish does wear off from extensive target shooting but it doesn't bother me.
Best on the market
I have shot alot of cheaper arrows but they never had the accuracy and penetration of these. Great for hogs. They are expensive but worth it for me so far.
Killers
Great product for hunting, Smaller diameter not so ideal for target shooting, due to the lack of possible line breakage.
Never thought I'd change from woodies
tough, durable, consistent
If you call your order in, or put a note during checkout we will pull two different colors.
We fletch the Axis Traditional arrows in left wing .
The Axis arrows I purchased last year were fletched with left wing
Yes , whey come prefletched in white , red , yellow or lime , you can specify the color you would like in the special notes .
If the bow is 47# at your draw length Id go with a 500 spine. It the bow is 47# at 28" id go with the 400 spine. Id leave them both full length.
Yes the inserts will accept any standard field point or broadhead. (NO DEEP SIX components)
Yes. The insert is set at a particular depth with a gage provided by the manufacturer. Once dried, broad-heads or field points install just as they would with normal inserts.
I would recommend a 500 spine at 29.5 inches with a 125 grain point.
45# is skirting the line between a 400 and a 500 spine arrow. I have the same bow and poundage. 500 works nicely. Though if you have the equipment I do recommend you start your arrows long, and do some test shooting. Then cut down a 1/4 inch at a time. There are a number of nice Youtube videos on "arrow tuning traditional archery" that may help. Enjoy!
They would have to be ordered separately.
