The Eco-Dipper attaches to your paint or sealer can, saving time and space. You simply dip the end of your shaft into the paint or sealer so there is a large amount on the end of the shaft. Then draw the shaft through the Eco-Dipper gasket without stopping. Your shaft will have a complete coat of paint or stain. You can also use the Eco-Dipper to cap dip your shafts! It's an amazing tool that saves time and hassle. ...read more

Changed arrow making
Made sealing arrows so easy and all the mess goes rite back in the can very nice product
Don't waste your money
Stick to dipping, this really doesn't work
Waste of money
Though I'd try this product to avoid the dip tubes, big mistake. It really doesn't work well at all.
Excellent
Doesn't work for crown dips with paint but used with the 3 rivers gasket lacquer it's awesome!
Works with gasket lacquer
Don't bother trying to cap, it just wipes all the paint off. Used with the gasket lacquer from 3rivers and it works just like the video...slick
Great product
Great for the individual only putting lacquer on a doz or so arrows. The Laquer stays in the original container and can be resealed. This way you don't waste expensive Laquer. Just be sure and clean all the Laquer off, the Laquer only peels off the rubber gasket after drying, not the rest of the tool.
It's so easy anyone can use it.
This is a great product. It's very easy to use. All I did was watch the demonstration video and my arrows turned out great. There was no mess to clean up and it doesn't take up alot of space either. I'd recommend it to anyone who builds their own arrows.
Screw too short to secure it
The screw is short not like the one in the picture. I tried things to make it tight but it just flops around. It make it hard to use. It shold have a long screw like theone pictured.
Frustrated, not even the slightest film
Tried using it with Bohning cresting lacquer on aluminum shafts. Based on the video thought it was going to be a quick, paint saving alternative to a dip tube. Wrong. Could not get the paint to stick at all. Naturally I am trying to crest up before I leave on a trip and needed these done in a hurry. Fortunately I had a little dipper around. Followed the videos again and again.… read more Went back and read the questions after I went through this. Dave from 3Rivers mentioned it apparently doesn't work well with Bohning lacquer as i might be the case. If that is indeed the case, then that should have been mentioned in their narrative.
Don't bother trying to cap dip.
I bought two of these, a quart of clear and a pint of white for cap dipping. The clear works great but when I cap dip I always get a gap from where I start to where the paint finally take hold to the shaft. It's never the same distance so some shafts have a 1/2" gap, some have a 3/4" gap and never in a straight line. The video makes it look like a breeze for capping but good… read more luck. Sounds like I'm not the only one having this issue. I would recommend for clear coat but not for cap dipping.
It will depend on the paint used. Unless the paint is completely opaque you will not be able to cover up the wood grain.
The gasket lacquer listed with this item has been temporary discontinued. We are trying to find a product to replace it.
No you want the thick Gasket lacquer for the finish
It will depend on the paint used. Unless the paint is completely opaque you will not be able to cover up the wood grain.
You should be able to use just about any lacquer with the Eco-Dipper. You will just want to make sure that it is nice and thick so that it will give you a nice coat.
Had the same problem here in Canada with ordering gasket lacquer. The problem is is that the thinner lacquers and stains run off the ecodipper before they coat your arrow completely. so i ordered it anyways and ill share my solution. get any polyurethane(i got marine grade polyurethane from a boat repair store) the thicker the better ask them to open the can. should look like syrup or close. then use the eco dipper on the edge of a high bench or table so that you feed your arrows through down wards. Shave your nocks and tips on all your arrows dip your first arrows 3 inches deep then feed through all the way till just the tip is out. Line your next arrows nock with the tip of the first and push the next one through.you dont have to dip the next 6 or so arrows because the cup one the ecodipper holds the polyurethane instead of dumping it back into the bucket.to handle the freshly coated arrow hanging, push the nock of the next through grabbing the wet ones tip.very fast 12 arrows= 5min
Once the gasket isnt tight on the shaft anymore is when your going to want to replace it. The more arrows you are making the sooner you might have to replace it.
Yes, this will work on 9/32 shafts.
No you want it thick when using the any gasket system.
Yes, this system will work with 5/16 shafting and with tapered shafts.
Any gasket lacquer works really well with this system.
You want thick lacquers with any gasket system. Bohning products are thin and intended to drip dry
