Awesome
I used these on trad only barebow 400 spine shafts. The chart for the inserts are the one to use not the shaft diameter listed with shafts. (.272). A little sanding with some 320 sandcloth for the outsert was all I needed, didn't get into the carbon, only the finish. As mr karch mentioned in the video. The fit was nice and tight and I suspect it is very strong. Trimmed the insert… read more at the 55 grain line with arrow cut-off tool. With my 42 lb bow they bare shaft nice with 125 points at 32.5 inches long. The half outsert that came with shafts fit nice but I don't think they are anywhere near as strong as this Ethics system. Very happy with the purchase. I'll be likely getting more.
Doesn't Fit My Arrows
They probably work good if they fit your arrows. The outsert doesn't work for Bloodsport .204 ID / .262 OD arrows, inserts fit OK. Too much sanding to get outsert on the arrows. I probably wrecked a couple arrows with all the sanding to get the outserts in place. I didn't use any glue and they will never come off. And I'll have a 3 pack that will likely never get used.
Yes I would buy again
The inserts are great love the concept and design but for the fit I couldn't get them to fit at first so I had to sand off the wood wrap finish to get them to fit nicely on there
The very best system available in my opinion very precise!
Easy installation can be done with heat melt or epoxy
Careful of your shaft size.
I ordered .267 OD outserts. But when I tried to install them something seemed way off. So I checked them. They are .264. That's gonna require me to sand down my arrows more than I'm comfortable to do. So now I'm stuck with outserts that won't fit. But the insert fit fine.
Black eagle vintage have an ID of .244. These are .203 so they would be too small.
For that arrow spine, the OD is .261 so I would use the .262 sleeve.
The Centershot has a .231 ID these inserts would be too small.
These inserts are not compatible with the Centershot .231" ID
These will not work with the GT Traditional XT Shafts. The ID is .246 and OD is .300. These outserts will not fit. They will work with the GT Traditional CLASSIC XT shafts though. The ID is .204 and the OD is .276
According to the manufacturer of that arrow the OD for the 250 spine is .262
No, these are much smaller then the 2219. We do not have a size that will fit on an aluminum arrow at this time.
For the 400 you need .272 and for the 340 you need .276 .
You will need the .276 for the 340 spine shaft .
