Great Low Price
I was using cheap arrows I purchased from an online source and then I found these quality lower priced arrows. Wow, what a difference. Accuracy and consistency jump up quickly. The only con I have is the nock throat is rather small and I had to change them out for a larger throat nock.
Mediocre arrow
These came with my new recurve in one of 3 Rivers kits. They are serviceable arrows, but the fletching is poor. After only a week or 2 of practice, the bottom hen feathers are losing pieces, and I've had to re-glue a couple where they separated from shaft. As noted by other reviews, the inserts appear off-sized and/or poorly glued. A pack of inserts was included in my order… read more at no cost, as I guess 3R anticipates this issue. Other than that, they fly straight and are not showing any other signs of premature wear. If you get them, plan to re-fletch and re-insert them after little use. For cheap practice or stumping arrows, probably a good option.
Great product!
Incredibly fast shipping!
Perfectly matched to my wife's 35# recurve.
These are economical practice arrows.
Very good arrows
Perfect carbon arrows. Fly straight and perform exactly how they are supposed to. Only issue is when you get these you definitely need to take out the inserts and nocks and glue them back in yourself. The nocks come out after a few shots and the inserts get stuck in harder targets. Easy fix with a little super glue.
Good arrow
The arrow itself is good. Seems durable enough for what I use it for. However half of the arrows are losing fletching already after only 50ish shots. I'm not to surprised based on the price. But none the less I wish they would have been glued a bit better. At the end of the day I bought them to have cheap arrows that I dont have to worry as much about losing or breaking when I'm… read more out in the field. So I cant complain.
Thanks for the great guidance and advice.
All good so far
Bang for your buck
I am primarily a target shooter. I have a set of 600s (purple fletching) for my 35# recurve and a set of 500s (red fletching) for my 45# longbow and my 50# recurve. Both sets work well with their respective bows.
Decent arrows but the inserts do come loose depending on tgt
Becareful with certain targets. The inserts will come loose and you'll loose the insert and field tip in your target.
Nice arrows, but the length is not as described.
I bought 700 spine for my 25lb Samick Sage, and was very pleased at how they shoot. The arrows fly very straight and predictable. They are durable too. I missed my mark one time and hit some hard 2x4 's causing it to bounce off with a cracking sound. I thought it was definitely broken, but upon inspection there was no damage at all. But be aware that all the arrows come as… read more 31in length, no matter which spine you choose. The description is inaccurate.
The 500 spine is 6.49 GPI shaft.
The 500/400/350 spines of the Carbon Express Maxima Pro Recurve RZ Arrows are 32.50" long. The Black Eagle Vintage Carbon, the Black Eagle Instinct Traditional Carbon, and Easton Carbon Legacy™ Arrows, all come in 34.00" length. Those are the longest arrows we carry in Carbon.
Would need to know a bit more about the bow to be sure, but I'd feel good about the 600 spine in these Fleetwood arrows. They are "just" long enough for your draw, but the spine should be right. The 500 spine would be stiffer, which dependent upon the bow, may be better for your style of shooting.
For a proper recommendation we would need your draw length and if your shooting a recurve or a longbow .
The colors on these will vary as they are pre-fletched when we receive them from the factory.
Not knowing your draw length i can't give an accurate spine weight but you should be in the 700 to 600 spine range .
I would start with a 600 spine.
I purchased the 600 spine for my wife to shoot on her 35# bow, but I cut them to 26" to better match her draw length. I think the 500 spine arrows are more versatile if you have a longer draw and don't intend to cut them. Hope this helps.
The 700 spine should work fine for you , generally we cut arrows at 1 1/2" to 2" past your draw length , these arrows are at 32" with inserts and points installed but can be cut to your draw length .
I would start with a 600 spine and they do come with 100 grain field points as well.
