2 of 3 New Arrows Split on first shot
While shooting with the Purdue Archery Club, 2 of the 3 new arrows split at the nocks on the first shot. I would have expected better quality arrows for the price paid.
Fun to shoot
These arrows are very high quality and fun to shoot. Since they're bamboo, they are not that straight, but they still fly somewhat accurately. I did find that I had to make the nock a bit bigger with a drill bit to fit my string. Overall if you want a really pretty arrow that's fun to shoot, these are definitely worth the price. FYI, I thought the colors from the photo were… read more white and black. I don't know if there's a mixed bag of colors, but the arrows I received are yellow and black.
Bamboo Arrows
Like all dealings in the past with 3 Rivers delivery was fast and packaging professionally done.
These will be about 33" full length. I would not have any longer ones unfortunately.
Mine is almost 84cm or 33".
Yes , they are both made by the same arrow builder , Yumi Archery , the difference is the feather type , one is Han-Bun feathers and the other is made with Natural Turkey Barred feathers . They also have different field points installed
These are not weight matched their primitive arrows. Any where from 450 to 550
These arrows are only hand spined (primitive) They usually come in at 80+ and that is the only way they are sold.
The points on these arrows are Glue on.
You would need to remove the point and then taper the point end of the arrow to install a broadhead. The Field points that are on these now have a long shank that is glued into the arrow and then wrapped at the point.
I would not recommend these arrows for target competition. Even though these fly well they are not as accurate as a well tuned carbon or wood arrow.
Unfortunately we don't carry these feathers
You could cut these arrows down and then remount the points. By doing this will affect the spin weight of the arrows causing them to fly differently because it will stiffen the arrows.
