Great broadhead
I used the dull broad heads for practice, I shot my first deer with a bow with the real broadheads and it was a complete pass through the buck didn't go 50 yards.
G5
Great broadhead I killed a bobcat and a doe with them last season
Shot a moose and was still sharp as new
Shot a moose and was sticking half way out the other side. The broadhead was still sharp as new and the penetration was plenty. That moose ran sixty yards and fell over dead. I would highly recommend these broadheads to anyone.
G5 Montec
I got the G5 Montec as a back up while other broadheads were on back order. I ended up loving these way more than the other broadheads! The G5 Montecs fly very well out of my Recurve and don't lose their edge after a couple shots. They are very easy to touch up after they do start to dull too! Made of one solid piece of steel so there is no worries about parts or weak spots in the… read more construction. I have yet to take any game with the G5 Montec but I have no doubts that I can rely on it when the time comes.
Good Broadhead!
I got this broadhead as a fall back option while I waited for my Woodsman's to come in the mail. I am much more impressed with these now that I have both! The Montec's came sharper, sharpen easier and shot much better than the Woodsman's. I have yet to take any game with these but just from shooting at my block I have no doubts about relying on the G5 when a Whitetail walks out.… read more Really well made and very sturdy.. They shoot well out of my Bear Super Kodiak and hold their edge even after passing through the block and biting the dirt. Very impressed!
Dependable & TOUGH
Even after several pass through shots and a few that hit rocks these things are still straight and only require a little touch up to be ready to hunt with again. So just do yourself a favor and gettcha some, you wont regret it
Sharp and Accurate
I was very pleased with my purchase since I noted with some broadheads there were issues with the lack of sharpness. These however are very sharp and have that surgical steel look and appear to be flawlessly constructed. The penetration of the broadheads is impressive, and while I haven't used them yet for hunting they penetrate deeply, and due to their 3 blade design often… read more need to be cut out of the target. I've landed these tips into hard posts and stumps and they penetrate well and I have yet to notice any decrease in sharpness. The flight of my arrows appears to be as consistent as any target tip, yet there is a light whistle sound while in flight.
Shot 5 deer with one of these heads last
Shot 5 deer with the same head last year. I washed the head off, touched up the edge and put it back on the arrow.
Solid Broadheal
One solid broadhead that sharpens up very fast to a deadly hunting tool. This is the only tip that I use anymore for hunting and training
Yes these will screw right in.
These are 125 grains per head.
They have a 30 degree bevel on each side of the blade.
Hi, To sharpen these, you lay the entire thing on a stone so that two edges are touching at the same time. The broadhead will lay flat on the stone. Then take the upright blade and move it toward the point. I do just a few on each side to touch mine up every season on a super fine stone. It keeps them really sharp. After going through a deer or elk, they will need a medium stone then a fine. The blades don't break off like my Thunderheads, just a bit dull where they hit bone. Super easy to sharpen. Yes
Yes, these broadheads are made in the US.
Yes, they are made in Michigan
The broadhead uses the standard thread size. It will work in all carbon and aluminum arrow inserts except for Easton's new Deep Six shafts.
The threads on all of the broadheads, except the deep 6 versions, will be 8-32. This broadhead has a 1.125" cutting diameter and the central ferrule is 1.375" long. I do not have the information on the exact angles.
I would recommend using the3-Blade CC Sharpener: http://www.3riversarchery.com/product.asp?i=8063
Since these are three blade, you can lay them on a stone and never have to worry about your angle. Once you're done with the stone, put them on a strop and they will be plenty sharp. I've bought two sets and found that they needed very little work to get them to truly razor sharp.
