Gateway Batwing Arrow Feathers Reviews

Batwings

I purchased these last year and did not get to experiment much with them. Feathers looked great. My biggest complaints were: the quills were not ground well and very thick. This caused the front tip to come free from the shaft easier than acceptable. The feathers also seemed less durable than standard plastic fletch (I shoot compound and traditional). I like them for traditional read more equipment, still testing to determine if I want to use them for my compound setup.

Great feathers. They fly great.

I use for 3d target shoots and hunting.

Surprisingly quiet fly well

I fletched up an arrow with the 3.5" Batwing as I have been considering trying a shorter fletch. I was extremely impressed by how quiet and stable the arrow shot going from a 5" shield 3 fletch. I think these are my new go to fletching.

they say that a batwing feather has up to 30% more spin than a normal feather, is this factually correct or sales blurb. As we move to smaller and smaller fletches for broad heads this could be of major benefit and allow for offset rather than helical. Wh

I have personally switched from a 5" shield cut feather to a 3.5 4 years ago

I have personally switched from a 5" shield cut feather to a 3.5" Batwing. I do bare shaft tune my arrows which is why I did go to a smaller feather but they seem to perform very well. They are quieter and a little faster when compared to the 5" shield.
