Gettin Stickbow Close DVD Review

Gettin Stickbow Close is real traditional bowhunting. Produced by Steve Stivaly and Jim Purcaro, their goal was to capture traditional bowhunts as they really happened. In keeping it real they included all the shots; the good ones and the one's that weren't so good. They wanted to capture the hunter's feelings right after the shots and during their first walks up to the deer. No polished, over-scripted scenes here, just the raw emotion that races through every traditional archer's veins during those moments. This is their first DVD and they experienced many challenges. For instance, Steve shoots and kills the 14th largest Non-Typical Whitetail ever taken with a traditional bow, but the cameraman wasn't with him so they didn't get the shot on film. STILL, you will see this incredible whitetail and hear the story of Steve's exciting encounter.
