The perfect solution for arrow tuning at a great price. As you change point weight on your arrow you change the dynamic spine of the arrow. Heavier weight weakens the spine and lower weight stiffens it. The goal is to have an arrow properly spined so it flies perfectly straight and hits the target straight (no kick to one side or the other). Each test kit comes with three-each of our precision 23/64" glue-on steel field points. Kit includes 3 each of: 125 grain, 145 grain, 160 grain, and 190 grain glue-on steel field points. Machined steel field points with 5° tapered ferrule to mount on 23/64" wood shafting. Our Steel Field Points (AKA field tips) are extremely durable, and with their concave shape are easier pulling out of targets and help with accurate arrow flight. The 5° "point taper" is an industry standard, so these field tips should fit on any arrow that accepts a glue-on point. Must have a point taper on your arrows to use these field points. ...read more

I use this tip on my atlatl darts. I would use a larger one, since I use 1/2" diameter darts, but I just have to taper the end down a lot. I have had a few darts break because of the tapering, but I found out how to re-enforce the taper. Over-all, this product works very well for me.

125gr tips are too short!!

I have been making my own wood arrows recently and decided to get this kit in order to bare shaft tune my new shafts. I think the test kits are a great idea and this helped me a lot. I am, however disappointed in that the 125gr tips are too short in overall length to fit the entire taper into the tip. They bottom out and wobble, leaving an exposed shoulder. They will fit however… read more if you cut about an 1/8" off of the taper. Are all the 125gr 23/64 tips this way???? I found some old tips in my collection, weighed them and found them to be 125-23/64 and they fit just fine. So, it must be a bad batch or something...I would like to order more but I do not want to cut and 1/8" off all the ends of my shafts, so I am not sure what to do....

I used the field point test kit in conjunction with the arrow spine test kit to fine tune my set-up for an upcoming elk hunt. Very useful and re-usable.

This kit really saves time setting up hunting arrows by helping determine correct shaft length and spine potential before attaching broadheads to your wooden arrows.

I tried all the different weights in the test kit with different lengths of arrows and all shot so good I couldn't tell much difference!
