Love
With the exception of one arrow I can't thread a field tip into (glue, bad threads? To be determined) these are fantastic. I have been shooting for years using the same "okay" arrows. Once I got these my shot placement and group size instantly improved. Thank goodness it wasn't all me and bad habits. Looking forward to customer service support for the one outlier but otherwise very… read more happy with both the aesthetics and performance of these arrows.
Good beginner arrows
A little on the light side for my hunting uses, but perfect for practice!
Gold Tip Traditional are excellent?

Great arrows
Great arrows for my recurve and longbot.
Love these arrows
I've had my set of one dozen custom Gold Tip Traditional Arrows built by 3Rivers using their "arrow builder" for about sevens months now. I've shot them extensively and used them during a paper animal archery league at my sportsman's club. They've been used and abused; hit with other peoples arrows, shot into the wood target frame, trees, the dirt, ect. and fired thousands of times… read more from my approx 50# recurve. They all still look and perform great! Not one broken arrow, not one lost fletching! I love this set of arrows so much I just bought another dozen in 400 spine for another bow of mine. I don't buy the pre-made ones because I prefer to have the wrap with pink and lime feathers so I can find them when I miss whatever small game I'm shooting at in the woods. If 3Rivers gives as much attention to building these as they do their custom orders though, then they are well worth the price.
Nice Shafts, Craftsmanship Problems
So let's start with the bad and end with the good. Upon initially seeing my new Gold Tip Traditional Carbon arrows I was quite excited to get them out and see how they performed. I ordered 6- fletched, cut to length arrows with inserts included. Normally I would not have anyone else fletch my arrows but considering I was paying $81.50 and being from 3 Rivers I was expecting quality.… read more When I went through my first shot with each six I began noticing the flaws. For instance, 1 arrow was nocked incorrectly with the coch feather backward. Not a huge deal but when shooting over and over, it becomes irritating to always have to keep an eye out for the one with a white coch feather and backward nock. As I shot each arrow for the third time I watched as one of my fletchings fluttered down in front of my face, half being torn off and have remained on the shaft. I inspected my arrows and noticed that multiple fletchings were only partially glued on, most of which had the forward piece hanging out, waiting to be caught and torn. So after buying 6 arrows and shooting them three times, I now have to work on three of them. Not that the work is hard or anything like that, it's just the fact that I paid a steep price for mediocre work. Now to end on a good note, these shafts themselves are straight, weighted evenly and appear to be tough. The ones I have that remain properly made shoot straight and leave my old wood shafts in the dust. So ultimately the question is, would I recommend these to a friend. That depends on if and how Three Rivers corrects this issue and ensures that it does not happen in the future. I'm starting to hear more and more complaints about this same issue. For reference I am shooting a 60# @ 28" Pronghorn Custom longbow, 27.5 draw and the 500's with 125 gr points seem to be the correct match.
Durable as adamantium
These arrows are so durable! I practice in my backyard from 30 yards to stay sharp, and my big block target is backed up to my fence and some concrete blocks. I have shot these arrows into a concrete block from a 50# bow without any sign of damage.
Only Arrows I loose from a bow.
As a Bowyer, I don't mind trying to make my own arrows. However, On my best days I cannot get Port Orford Cedar to preform like these arrows do, this with consistency in mind. I had purchases 18 of these arrows at 500 spine for three different bows. A Bear Kodiak 59' recurve, 45 pound Eastern Red Juniper ( Cedar) Pyramid bow, and a 55 pound reflexed Hickory Pyramid bow. These arrows… read more all fly true and penetrate well from all mentioned bows. The only issue I have had is the nocks tend to go flying after some 100-300 shots with any particular arrow. Especially if you make/ buy a bow that spits em out quickly. I killed a 170 pound doe in the Ozarks last season with one of these arrows and a selfbow at 12 yards. Complete pass through with a 100 grain Zwicky.
Beautiful arrows, look like wood
One vane/feather was not completely glued down - a little super glue took care of it.
It depends on your form but i would try a 400 spine with 50 grain insert and 150 grain point. For the best flight I would try different weights as well.

They take GT size of lighted nocks.
The Centershots are no longer made. The Trad Only 600 is the same diameter as the centershots.
The ID of these Gold Tip Traditional shafts is 0.246".
Unfortunately the longest shafts we carry are 34" and those are the Black Eagle Vintage https://www.3riversarchery.com/black-eagle-vintage-arrows.html , and the Easton Carbon Legacy https://www.3riversarchery.com/easton-carbon-legacy-arrows.html .
You can add a note during checkout to your order. Otherwise, please call in your order to 1-260-587-9501 and they will put a note on the item when ordering.
Without knowing your draw length I would recommend ether a 340 or 400 spine carbon arrows .
If you look on the back of the goldtip traditional arrow packaging you will find an arrow chart. This chart factors in arrow length, draw weight and tip weight. It's pretty accurate, start there.
Get a gold tip test kit. Kit has spines from 600 to 340.The smaller the number the stiffer the spine. Also a field point test kit. There are so many variables to getting good arrow flight, shooting style, point weight, how your bow is cut etc. With a test kit you can pick what spine shoots the best and then fine tune from there.
I would recommend a 500 spine but the best way to be sure is to buy an arrow test kit , all of our arrow brands offer a test kit to assure proper arrow flight .
These will be fletched with left wing feathers.
So if the bows have a deep shelf and are close to center shot 45-55 spine somewhere in there will shoot great I buy that spine for my 45lb recurve and they shoot great out of my girlfriends 26lb recite and sons 25lb longbow. Feel free to ask more questions if you want I'll help where I can
