Don't use these on any animal
I'm not one to talk smack about a product but I had some bad luck with Oz Cut hurricanes and they refuse to admit they have a problem, I know a lot of guys where excited about these heads. First off I have to say that these heads fly amazing! I nocked tuned one out of 6 and had great groups out to 100yards. I did have to drop down one sight tape due to drag. When I got these… read more heads they had a heavy burr from sharpening so they feel sharp but it's the burr you feel. After shooting every arrow I sharpened them and they where overly easy to sharpen. I was concerned about the softness of them at that point but thought I should give them a fair shake. I shot my elk this year and hit the side of a rib going in and the side of one going out. The elk went 400 yards with a double lung shot, over double the longest I've had before. There are multiple parts of the edge that broke off, one edge folded over, and I can't make any of the blade cut me even with a sawing motion. I contacted Oz Cut multiple time before getting a response that the head did its job by killing the elk and it's normal for any single bevel to not keep a edge. I've been shooting single bevels for years and think I've killed something with all the higher quality ones and know I've had multiple animals with a single Helix and cutthroat. In my opinion these heads never got hardened or they are just skipping that step? I wanted to put this out there as a warning to others who have spent money and time on these heads and don't want to possibly make a good shot that could go bad due to this head.
Love em!!
Best fixed blades you can get in my opinion!
Right wing feathers are to be used with this broad head .
These can be used with most arrows/inserts. I have not seen or heard how they perform out of a compound.
Correct, they are sold by the 3 pack.
They will spin clockwise should be matched with RW feathers.
