Thumbrings are considered an essential component of archery tackle in many parts of the world, yet they are for the most part "unknown" in the Western world. Good read
Good book
Very comprehensive book!
This is a fantastic ring-bound book if you delving into the world of thumbring archery. The author provides study into the different types ranging from Asia to Africa, and surprisingly, Native North America. The book is pocket-sized and features about 76 pages of information. The font size is easy to read, and features steps in order to perform the thumbring draw. The only drawback… read more is that there are not enough illustrations to go with the lengthy descriptions that go into the different steps to perform the thumbring draw. I would have liked to see more illustrated details regarding the drawing of the bow, especially different views of the bow hand. Nevertheless, if you are interested in the historical documents surrounding this technique, this book is a must for your collection.
Very well written and informative.
This book is a very enjoyable read. All the questions I had about the history, usage, and how to use a thumb ring release were answered. I definitely recommend this book for anyone who is interested in trying the "thumb ring bow release" method. There is a lot of false info about this subject, this book will set you straight.
Great Book
This is a great book to pick up if you are thinking of starting to shoot with a thumb release. It gives you a lot of options, and things to think about. It is very educational, and may help you figure out what hardware you would like before you get started.
