If I were to order the traditional only carbon arrows with the insert would I be able to add these once they arrive to my house

As long as you do not have us install the inserts then yes you can install the collars. We can install them if you want us to mount the inserts for you as well.

HOW FAR THE COLLARS GO THRU THE SHAFT?

They have a ledge that goes between the end of the arrow shaft and the insert lip. I am not sure how deep this is. It i s not too deep to effect installing the insert though. As for how far down the shaft, it is about 1/4 inch or so.
