These are not a gimmick; they work
I am a very active traditional 3D/target archer. I have been using nock and carbon collars on my arrows (Traditional Only and Gold Tips) for years. I have seen a lot of arrows cracked/shattered on the rebar skeletons in 3D targets. Since I started using these collars, it is a genuine rarity for me to lose an arrow this way. The field tip may be flattened like a table and the nock… read more dislodged, but the shaft is fine. Earlier today, one of my shooting partners robin hooded one of my Gold Tips; put it squarely through the nock and into the shaft. (See the pic.) After wrenching the tip/insert and ruined nock out, the arrow was perfectly serviceable. I would not feel entirely comfortable shooting without these.
Nocks don't fit unless forced in
I purchased these in Size B and C within the last few months for my Gold Tip Warriors and my Gold Tip Hunter XT's both in 400 and 500 spines. The size B nock collars fit the 500 spine arrow shaft very well, the size C's are way too loose for the 400 spines, and I noticed that the .246 GT Nocks do not fit unless forced in. Once forced in, the nock does not come out unless you shave… read more off all of the little ridges or unless you force it out by pulling it with plier (which ruins your nock). This is extremely frustrating. I have since resorted to trying to find Carbon Express collars that fit the GT arrows. The collars for the Mayhem Hunter 250 fits the Gold Tip Hunter XT 400's perfectly, and the GT nocks fit too. Haven't yet found any that fits the Hunter XT 500's.
Good and easy to fix
Protects my arrows efficiently
Haven't failed me yet!!
These are great!!! I use to split the backs of my gold tips all the time at 3d shoots. Since I have been using these I have never lost an arrow to splitting at the knock. I build all my arrows with some eye appeal so I wish they came In a variety of colors.
Better than a footed arrow!!!!!
Extremely good service, with prompt delivery.
Nock collars
The arrow nock collars seem to be a good quality. and it has a nice touch to the appearance.
Great accessory for your carbon arrows
I use these nock collars on my carbon arrows and they do a good job of protecting the arrows from damage. They also look nice and are easy to instal. I use size B collars for 9/32 inch carbon shafts and they fit nice and tight and no glue is needed.
Collars are great product
A few days ago I received my order, I am very pleased with the collars, I just want to put a big objection. On this planet there are people who use Gold Tip Traditional and has a lot of us. How difficult is to make collars for Traditional GT?
Prevent shaft fracturing
These are basically the exact same thing as the nock collars. I ordered both, and I can't tell the difference in either. They do the job of preventing splitting of the nock end of the carbon shaft. They didn't really prevent the nock from flying out when you hit something slightly harder though. I ended up having to glue in the nocks, or carry around a pocket full of them. … read more If you are shooting semi hard stumps with carbons, you should have these on your arrows.
At this time, there is not a size that will fit that shaft.
The 400 spine take a B collar and the 340 and 300 spine take a C collar .
Nock Collar B will fit that arrow.
We would not have a nock collar that fits that shaft unfortunately
We do not have a collar that fits that shaft unfortunately
The nock collars will not fit the back end of those shafts. You can use the point collars that fit the front end if you really wanted to strengthen the back end of the shaft.
It looks like that arrows OD would be .283" and the closest I would have would be the .275"
For the gold tip traditional 600 spine you would need size C.
We do not offer an exact fit for these arrows unfortunately
Size b would fit the 500 spine.
You would need size C
