The perfect solution for arrow tuning at a great price. As you change point weight on your arrow you change the dynamic spine of the arrow. Heavier weight weakens the spine and lower weight stiffens it. The goal is to have an arrow properly spined so it flies perfectly straight and hits the target straight (no kick to one side or the other). ...read more

If you already had arrows like I did but want to see which weight tip best tunes them for your bow, these test kits are the way to go. I thought my bow was shooting well with my guestimates, but I stripped off the rest of the fletching on an arrow that I messed the fletching's up on and then used it to bare shaft tune my bow by changing out the tip weights until the arrow was… read more appearing to fly the straightest and hit the target straight. For RH shooters if your arrow is knock right and point left add more weight and vice versa. If it starts shooting knock left and the point to the right take off some weight. Once I had it bare shaft tuned to hitting where and how I wanted, I put the same points on fletched arrows and it was amazing. It was a lot easier hitting the bullseye and my arrows weren't doing crazy maneuvers on the way to the target. If you're stuck on shooting a specific point, it might not be a bad idea to go with 3 rivers bare shaft tuning kit. For me, I already had a lot of money put into arrows so wanted to find what point worked best. Now I'm back to buy 175gr points to replace my 125gr ones. Buying this kit and figuring out what weight tip works best will save you from buying packages of different weights figuring it out and having a well tuned bow/arrow combination makes shooting a whole lot more fun.

Very good product
I used this set to find out what weight would tune best for my hunting arrows and discovered 200 grains shoots awesome. The only issue I had was the weight marking on the point is very difficult to read. Now I recognize the shape of the point and know the weight so not a big problem.
