Careful!
This Item was used to mount paper target faces to a Morrell bag target, the Supreme III. It is really not suitable for this application as it will not penetrate the medium without flexing and potential breakage. Better suited for attaching targets to straw bales and other soft backing.
Solid Design
Okay, most think, It's just a target pin. This is a typical well thought decades old design of Saunders Archery Products. The half thread design twists into the target medium with a quarter turn of the knob, not unlike the breech lock of an artillery piece or a modern in - line muzzleloader. You push into the target medium with knob vertical, than turn it to horizontal to lock.… read more Only drawbacks are, 1) It can bend if you are trying to force into a hard backstop, which I would question about shooting my arrows into in the first place. 2) If you hit the knob, it could break off of the pin, but better to break, than damage your arrow. A metal pin won't do that. We have used these pins on our local archery club's indoor range since it was built in 2005.
Decent
These pins do a decent job of keeping the paper target faces pinned to the backstop. But as stated above they bend easily and are hard to get through a mesh material. Also as another reviewer stated Metal pins would be much better for the task.
Target Face Pins
Sharp metal pins would be better for tough target faces. These should be great for loose media
Simple and effective
Plastic target face pins - pretty thick material, but, as always with plastic, can break if hit and will eventually get brittle and break over time. But, they're nice and inexpensive!
Effective & Inexpensive
I use these pins to hold paper targets to straw bales. They work well and merit five stars relative to their cost. Bear in mind, you should stack your straw bales neatly so that you're pinning to a flat surface and, especially with dry bales, you should angle the pins "in" toward the center of the target for a better bite. Also, if your bales are dry, be sure to hold the paper… read more target against the straw with one hand while pulling the field-pointed arrow out or the arrow may catch on the paper and pull the target out far enough to pop a pin. After a few rains, you can stick the pins straight into the bale and they'll stay put. While they do work and they're cheap, I'd pay another buck or two per set (they last forever if you aren't hitting them with wild shots) if 3R would make them about 2" longer. Another couple inches would eliminate any complaints about them pulling out.
Great product
Product exactly as described. Very fast, secure shipping as always
Work as advertised.
They work very well in straw bails.
Do not work
The pins easily fall out when you shoot at the paper targets, but they're great if you are just trying to keep the paper there till then.
These are awsome for archrey and rifle.
This is great for putting up paper targets up, or marking a place where you have shot there awesome.
Set of 4
I am not familiar with the EVA Mats. These are a plastic pin that is made to hold a paper target to a larger target.
E.V.A. mats are very dense. You will need very sharp metal pins like the "D" Targets Face Pins made by Bob's Archery Balls.
EVA mats are solid closed cell foam and it would be difficult for plastic pins to penetrate, especially since the plastic pins have a dull point. I would recommend the steel "D" Target Face Pins made by Bob's Archery Balls. These pins come in 3 lengths, 1-1/2", 3" and 6". The pins have sharp points and are equipped with a finger lupe for easy removal.
No they are yellow .
Just use spray paint or nail polish to get the color you want
