Great collection of Fred Bear's videos
This is a wonderful collection of zFred's videos. I remember seeing many of them on TV and at a seminar Fred gave in Orlando back in the late 70's or early 80's. Great memories!
Hours of entertainment
This is a great way to introduce the next generation to the "Bowfather"!
Love the old movies
Great for my DVD collection. Love watching on a winter day.
A look back
A fun look back at a pioneer and legend. Really enjoyed watching them make a Kodiak Magnum, I have one from that era, who knows maybe it was one of them.
A great chance to see a legand in words and action
For those of us who love traditional archery and remember Fred Bear, this dvd takes us back to the early days when people like Ishi , Pope and Young reintroduced us to hunting with a bow and arrow. In the late 1800s and early 1900s, archery was relegated to lawn parties with targets and Victorian men and women in their Sunday best shooting targets on a well manicured lawn. When the repeating rifle and refiled bore made hunting more accurate and battle more deadly, leaving the bow and arrow behind. Fred Bear helped popularize it again for hunting. These videos remind us what a thrill it could be to go into the wilderness and bring back big game using only skill and a good tracking instinct.
Classic videos of one of the best!
Great videos of one of the best men in archery.
They dont make em like this anymore
i saw most of these as a kid growing up in the 60s and they're still better than most of the garbage they're putting out today. not once in any of these videos does fred bear kill something and laugh uncontrollably, or cry,or pump his fist and yell"smoked em" or wet his pants which seems to be required behavior in todays hunting videos. i highly recomend this collection to anyone… read more who wants to see bowhunting at its finest.
Classic Fred Bear
Classic Fred Bear, I remember seeing some of these older films when I was a boy and my dad would take me to the theater to watch hunting shows. Great stuff from our past I will enjoy watching these over and over again.
Excellent traditional bow hunting
My son and I both enjoy watching Fred Bear out hunting and camping. There is a lot to the DVD's besides the kill, there's everything leading up to it, the travel, the local area, local animals, setting up camp etc. Excellent DVD set
Good memories
Entertaining presentations from the early days of bow hunting. Both of my sons, my wife and I all enjoyed the videos. I used Bear Razorheads myself back in the 70's and 80's and I enjoyed seeing Fred resharpening them on each hunt over and over and over....
