Amazing additions
Easy swap out your target arrows with hunting arrows? Yes please! I was cautious optimistic about these and they exceeded my expectations. Don't buy the related compression and Install tools, they aren't needed. I mounted them on new arrows with minimal sanding for a snug fit. Weeks worth or target shooting with zero issues and no accuracy loss when compared to other normal wooden… read more arrows.
Must have for wood arrow shooters.
very nice product, great product for wood arrows, when stump shooting.and point changing in the fie
Excellent product. I will buy again
Preformed as expected.
Works great if can cut threads
If you can get a thread cut on the shaft (threading tool did not fit matching shafts well - too tight), it works great. Have shot the arrows several times and have not had one even get loose. I have used the Bear Convertapoints before and had good luck, was hoping this would be a step up.
Tophat woodscrew point adapter
It would be nice if the ad said that a threading tool was required. It just said no taper or glue required. At least place the two items on the same page. That's my only complaint- you are a great company. Thanks- Rich
Yes
I like the ability to change points at the drop of a top hat
Hardwood shafts
These may work fine on POC shafts (haven't tried yet) being a softer wood, but are impossible to screw onto a hardwood shaft. The threads just will not cut into the wood. The TopHat thread cutting tool does not work either for the same reason. I did get them to work , however, by drilling out the threads with the proper sized drill bit, making them a parallel slide on fit which… read more will depend on a good glue, and/or pin, to hold them on. I do like the concept they create, however, and WILL use them regardless.
Great product!
The adaptors allow you to easily switch from field points to broadheads.
Grate product
awsome ldea. being able to change from broad heads to small games tips while your in the woods hunting makes life so much eaiser and can carry less arrows
I will be buying more of this item.
Being able to change tips on woods and bamboo is great.
We have never tried doing that but I would guess a primer/paint would do it.
Powder coat the same stuff you use for fishing jigs would probably work.
Yes it is an 8-32 thread
The 5/16 diameter is the ID of the adapter itself which will fit over any 5/16 arrow.
Yes those heads will screw right in
The length is not only what will affect the spine. The weight seems to affect it a little more. I would focus on the overall weight you have on the front before I would worry about the additional length.
In my opinion, since it is better to have a longer arrow (for broad head safety) I would not adjust. Remember also that the charts are useful, but may not be precise. Sent from my iPad
They way approx. 40 grains.
They weigh 2.6 grams. Sent from my iPad
Weighs 40 grains Mark Smith
No taper is required, so I doubt they would thread very far onto the shaft with the taper bottoming out.
I'm sorry, but the shafts you use must be cut square. I have used them with great success and will continue to use them.
Yes 9/32".
Yes its 8-32 threads. the adapter uses a 5/16" field points.
These will add 7/8 of an inch to the overall length of your arrow.
