Traditional Bowhunter's Handbook Reviews

This is a must have for any traditional shooter

Hickory styx

I rarely read and I rarely write reviews but I felt this deserved a rating to help others to narrow down the selection of all the choices of literature out there. I have been shooting traditional for about 5 to 7 years now but my shooting gets a little haywire at times. I have all the Fred Asbell books, which are great too, but this book goes into a little more detail. The chapters read more on arrow tuning and shooting form tighten my groups up immediately. I also learned about eye dominance, which was a new surprise for a 50 year old bow hunter. I would recommend this book for any level of traditional shooter. It is definitely worth more than the asking price. I havn't even finished reading it yet but I can say it has been a good and useful read. Buy it, you will find something useful you didn't know or forgot.

Absolute Read for the Archer

This book has been a great help in my re-introduction to the Bow and Arrow, skills and equipment needed to hunt with a bow and arrow. I found explanations and insight to understanding how to get the most from yourself and equipment a great plus. This book will be a goto reference book for any archer no matter the level of skills. I purchased this book before purchasing a traditional read more bow and it was a great help in determining what I felt I needed in a bow, equipment and skills to hunt with a traditional bow and arrow. The book reads like you have a patience mentor guiding you along. The written text descriptions and explanations are supported with many pictures helping the reader understand! Excellent!

Wonderful All Around Resource

I purchased this book several years ago, wanting to begin to improve my archery knowledge. It opened the door to a world I'd not imagined was this big. I've read it cover to cover half a dozen times, and still commonly use it. I bring it to my college's archery club meetings to show others, and would strongly recommend it to anyone interested in the history and practice of archery. read more Well written, you just fly through the pages. Put it on your night stand, your library, or even next to your toilet.
