TrueFlight Flu Flu cut feathers are the finest turkey feathers available anywhere. Bright colors and uniform pre-ground quills for consistent fletching dozen to dozen. TrueFlight Feathers are proudly made in the USA for the best in quality and availability. Flu Flu feathers start to slow your arrow down after approximately 30-40 yards. This makes them great for aerial target shooting or bird/small game hunting. Available in White, Yellow, Red, Fl-Lime (Chartreuse) Orange, Black, Blue, Purple, Green, and Pink. Available in Left Wing only. Sold by the dozen, 100 count, or 1,000 count (call for quote). What Wing Feather to Shoot? It is an old belief that Right handed (RH) shooter must shoot Left wing (LW) so the arrow spins away from the riser on release. This is not the case. An arrow only starts spinning once it is several feet in front of the bow, so feel free to shoot Left or Right wing. I will buy this again
These feathers have been working great for me.
They work great!
These are very good feathers, they are holding up very well.
Well pleased
This was my first experience with flu flu fletching. Fletching was straightforward. Trials with recurve 57 lbs draw and 426 gr arrow: Range test: 3 vanes 306 yds 4 each fluflu 97 yds 6 each fluflu 81 yds At 20 yds: 4 vane fluflu drops nearly the same as 3 vanes. 6 vane fluflu approx 7 inches lower than 3 vanes It's not very objective, but after an hour of hard stump shooting… read more the fluflu fletching showed no damage wheras one vane was lost on a fieldpoint.
Good feathers
Nice feathers. I put these on some old easton autum hunter 1916.
Great feathers
Excellent fletchings , well packaged as and delivered fast as always.
Unfortunately we can not mix and match different colors together.
Right wing spins clockwise and left wing spins counterclockwise. You can use any fletching jig. You want to match the jig to what ever wing you order.
Left Wing: for off the knuckle and trad bow's with shelves that are not cut past center. Glue: Fletch-It Pink. Jig: Bohning Feather Tower (comes with both L and R arms), or, Arizona EZ Fletch Pro for Left Wing feathers. Make sure the jig you use matches the feather's wing hand (left wing jig arms for left wing feathers, etc.). - Kevin. http://pedals-n-pistons.com/
No difference in shooting. Just can't mix them. Usually a better variety in left wing, but not always. I use bohning tape and bitzenberger jig. Make sure the indexer matches your wing selection (L or R). Helical clamp is sexier than straight.Have fun!
It should not make a noticeable difference.
No. These feathers will fly just the same as your shorter feathers. The only difference will be the distance of the flight of the arrow. Sent from my iPhone
Didnt notice a difference when we shoot them with a recurve or compound for shooting straight. We hav had them on 5 different shafts worked fine.
i have been shooting arrows with a 70 lbs spine out of a 55 pound longbow and they fly perfect.
Yes
The white is just a plain white.
Yes they drop quicker than the 4 fletch.
The taller and longer feathers. The shorter they will fly. Also is if you helical fletch the arrow will slow faster. I.e more wind resistance Sent from my iPhone
i bought and made both 6 feathered and 4 feathered and the 4 feathered flew about 30 yards further.
It more a dull orange.
About one foot lower at twenty yards! Had a replacement from one set of four feather flu flush fletched with six on accident and thought I'd try it out of curiosity- three feet lower at thirty yards- shot from 53# recurve-
It is a bright kind of sunset orange. Blaze orange is pretty close to how it is
They are "Texas " orange as opposed to "Tennessee" orange
It all depends on who much you want to slow the arrow down.
I find that 4 works better to slow the arrow. More resistance + more surface area creates more drag without any noticeable degradation in arrow flight.. Also make sure you have a nice helical. As tight as you can set your jig an still get good adhesion to the arrow when fetching. -Erich
Tom, It depends on what your going for. 3 is enough for a bow to shoot fast and go a little farther but still at most half of what a regular arrow would. 4 makes it very slow and diminishes distance to 1/3 regular arrow. I hunt ducks, pheasants, etc. I use three because it is faster and goes farther but 4 would be better for trick shooting and practice.
Depends on what your using the arrows for if your making fluflus so that you can shoot things out if the air I would go with 4 or 6 fletchings per arrow.. Sent from my iPhone
I used six on one arrow. It slows it down effectively, and I am still able to take squirrels within10-15 yards. Joel
Yes, a Bitzenberger will fletch flu flu arrows.
Yes, flu-flu feathers can be fleched to an arrow using the Bitzenberger rig. The longer feathers will simply lay down or fold back when you load the feather into the clamp. The feathers will spring right back up when you remove it from the clamp. Sent from my BlackBerry® by Boost Mobile
It sure can. I have used these feathers on the standard 3 fletching (120degrees) as well as the quad fletching setting (90degrees) and it worked great on both! The clamp(s) easily takes this Flu Flu Fletching.
Yes. I created a flu flu arrow with my bitz. Ensure u adjust the jig for four feathers before u start. Sent from my iPad
