Beauty, quality & consistency
I keep coming back to these feathers because they fill the bill for everything I need to fletch my hunting & field arrows. I can usually get a couple of fletchings out of each one (I like a 4" shield cut) and the trim and weight are always the same, regardless of color or pattern.
Just what I needed.
I was using these feathers to make ceremonial arrows for young kids. Although the quality of the feather could easily be used to shoot or hunt.
These feathers are approximately 8-10 inches in length.
You should have no problem getting that length out of each full feather. Sent from my iPhone
I don't make warbow arrows, but ordered a big pack of these feathers for my off center 50 lb longbow arrows. I fletch them helically with 4 at 4-5 inches length and full height with Easton aluminum arrows and they are very, very stable. Extremely accurate - like a tack driver! It almost looks like they are on a wire at shorter ranges. They got a lot of attention at the local club. They are typically longer than you are needing and good quality. I think you will be pleased with them. I measured a few and all were longer than 8" Mostly 8-9 inches, though the very ends can sometimes be a bit frayed as they are weaker at the ends. I did find that using feathers in this length it really helps to wrap the feathers with good thread as well as glue. I use a heavier thread at the front and the back of the feathers and saturate it with super glue to protect them if I get a pass through. It's a bit of a hassle, but they hold up far better! If you use a contrasting thread they look very sharp if you are careful with it. If I did not wrap them, they invariably came loose in spots and often broke from the shock. The glue doesn't always hold them. The difference in accuracy from plastic vanes is shocking, though they slow the speed a bit. I will never go back to the plastic ones. Hope that is helpful.
That refers to the wing of the bird it came off of. If you have a fletching jig you will want to match the clamp as it could be Left wing or Right wing.
We may introduce them next year but I have not heard for sure as of yet.
It refers to what wing the feather came off of the bird.
Full length feathers are going to be approximately 8-10 inches long.
These will be approximately 8-9 inches long and are approximately 1.5 inches wide. Right wing spins clockwise and left wing spins counter clockwise. You will want to match the fletching jig with the same wing feather if you are fletching yourself.
The width and length vary, usually about 1.25" by 8.0". I am right handed and I find left wing works best for me. After you've done the bear shaft test and have the shaft cut to the proper length You may want to fletch one arrow first and try it out before doing a dozen. Good luck. Fred Lankhorst
Lenght and width may vary, but consider the feathers to have a minimum of 20x3cm. Left or right wing will matter if you are looking to do an offset or helical fletching, in which case I recomend you look for some tutorials on the subject.
The traditional barred will be the "whitest"

Hi Kenneth, the main feathers I like to buy are 5 inches long. There are some you can get that are longer about twice as long but I like the ones already cut to length and trimmed .Hope this helps. Leon
These fletches are around 9" in length. We actually use them to fletch atlata darts. Hope that helps.
Greetings, fellow archers. Those feather are, in average, 22 centimeters long.
Hi friends !! The lenght of the feathers of reference it's between 8,5 - 9 " and have a high quality Good luck Javier Ezcurra
Kenneth, I will answer your question the best I can with what I know of these feathers. There is the true length and the useful length. The true full length including quill may be as long as 11" but then there is the useful length. Since I usually use them for fletching atlatl darts which require at least 9" of useful feather with 8" of actual feather with another inch of quill (1/2" lead + 1/2" follow). I both glue and tie these on with sinew end serves. I have found that the True Flight full length feathers are a good buy for this with very little waste. Since I don't know your intended use of them that is all I can offer. For my use I highly recommend them. Good Luck! David
The feathers I received range from 9 to 9 1/2 inches
Approximately 12" long
Yes, these can be used to make spiral flu flu arrows.
Yes, they will make spiral flu flu's. Either strip them or grind the down so they are thinner and will wrap better and they will work great. Sent from my iPhone
