Very pleased
I'll preface this by saying I use this target for crossbow practice, not long/recurve bow. With that being said it's fantastic and stops the bolts every time while keeping them in position so they don't fall out without pulling. Very happy with this. If you do lose a tip, the cover is replaceable so you can get them out.
Very nice Target
Delivery expensive.
Great product
Best target I have used to date. Very easy arrow removal. You just won't be disappointed. Yellow Jacket got it right. Thank you.
I LOVE THIS TARGET!!!
This is a great target, very durable, easy to see, and easy on the wallet. I take it with me to the range and place it in front of the haystacks for easy arrow removal. Yes it's big and bulky, but that's why I love it...
"I wish my ab's were this tough..."
Great for practice, and you can pin other target surfaces to it. Also keeps marker well for redefining the bulls when they fade from repeated shots. It is heavy, so I put mine on a handtruck with the rest of my gear when I go out to shoot.
The best target for field points!
One tuff bag target. If you shoot all the faces equally you can get a lot of use out of this target; years really. It is easy to replace the cover. PS. I have never had a field point come off when pulling out an arrow, and I have gone through two new targets, three replacement covers.
Uggghhh....
Would have been a great target, but I shoot wooden arrows with glue on points. After about 50 shots through the target (which I really liked up onto this point), my field tips started coming off. The tips would catch on the outer layering and you would have to tug hard, but carefully. New glue on the tips and they were fitted correctly, but now I have about 4 of them sitting… read more at the bottom of my target. Great for screw on points though.
Love it!
Great target. It really stops those arrows even when all the guts are fallen out.I shot this target til' it would not stand up any more. I bought a new bag cover and it was good as new. alot better then the block.
The yellow jacket ''NICE''
The yellow jacket is a very nice field target. It is visable, durable, easy to handle, and can take a hard punch.
Durable target
A durable target that works very well for field points. It is fairly heavy, but it works well.
Past 20yrds this target may pose a problem because the bow might not have enough power to penetrate it.The best points to use with this target would be standard field points. NIB points will have problems because they are not a 3 : 1 ratio shape which can cause them to bounce off the intended target with a low lb bow.
I would say it would be borderline as the target is somewhat dense and the points may not stick well to it.
This target weighs approximately 23 pounds.
I would not recommend shooting broadheads into the Yellow Jacket Field Point target. The better option is the Yellow Jacket Supreme Broadhead target: http://www.3riversarchery.com/Targets+Broadhead++Yellow+Jacket+Target+SUPREME_c37_s174_p0_i6918%2D00_product.html
A great gift! 1.) I find it easy to focus on the several different target spots at different distances, but the center is easy for me also. 2.) I have yet to see a single tunnel in the one I have at home. 3.) I haven't used the tabs, but they are heavy duty and should be easy to hang from. I would suggest though having something for the target to rest on even though you are using the tabs (less stress on the tabs then).
1) It is easy to shoot, but make sure you shoot in daylight LOL, i tried at night and ended up sticking trees 2) it wont form tunnels, ive shot mine alot of times, and it has shredded plastic if im not mistaken, it will drag a few out only because of friction causing heat, or if the adapters/ heads have an overhang 3) Ive hung mine for a few days until it got really windy, but it hung easily, i used some chains and shackles, so it would be sturdy, but id suggest some rope and an A frame, it will be sturdy and a decent height
