Very nice procduct

Guard is very nice. Good construction and the length on my forearm was perfect. I purchased the longer version. The only adjustment needed was to shorten the straps to the fit of my arm. This was easily done by tying a shorter knot to snug the fit and trimming off the excess. It is very stylish, and I never felt the string at all, even when I messed up on purpose to test it. I received read more many compliments on its looks. Very satisfied.

Didnt like it...

Didnt like it. Leather was thin, felt a bit flimsy, was bolstered by second layer of leather shaped like an arrow down the center, as pictured. I ordered the large without measuring, since my current arm guard is 7 1/4" and was about 1/2" too large. That being said, I just didnt like the feel of it, and I returned it. Maybe the short one would have been better. Perhaps the shorter read more length would feel stiffer and offer good protection.

It got me at first also. What you do is take the exterior loop and run it back thru the same line on the inside part of guard by the knot. After that you hook that loop you just ran and attach it to the hook. Now that its on your arm take and pull the knot across the top your arm to tighten. It was confused at first but now its great especially for layers.

I simply pulled the thongs through until they fit lightly on my arm with a shirt sleeve and re-tied the knots. It also helps keep my jacket sleeve out of the way when i wear it.

You push or pull the loop of string through the eyelet until the loop is the right length to fit your arm. You can adjust the length of the loop before you wrap it around your arm, and you can adjust further after the arm guard is on your arm. It is harder to explain than it is to do. The string is just a circle, held together by a knot. You can't see the knot in the picture. The circle of string is just fed through a metal ring or eyelet. To make the loop longer or shorter, you just push more or less string through the eyelet. Believe it or not, the string stays adjusted, once you get it snug. The string is also elastic, which helps with the fit.

John Depending on the size of your forearm you can 1. Hook the loop and pull the knot over to the hook, or 2. Hook the loop end and half hitch the knot end tightening until comfortable Hope this helps Bob Sent from my iPhone
