Took a while but its my go to glove

Mike

This glove is really well made, the only down sides is the sizes do run smaller, and the nylon was uncomfy for a while until they broke in.

BEST GLOVE

Have been using bow and arrow since the late sixties, so I have worn out a lot of shooting gloves. Have tried many different brands and all were good until the leather stalls began to soften. Then I couldn't launch a lot of arrows in a single session without my finger tips beginning to hurt. Thought I would give this one a try because of the heavy nylon overlays. There were some read more reviews that gave me pause. Comments like "the stalls are too short", "could not feel the string", "the stalls are too loose or too tight" and "the glove is not sized to match the recommended size". Well, maybe I'm just lucky. I have shot a hundred or so arrows from a 45# recurve using this glove. My draw length is 30" so I'm holding about 50 pounds at anchor. I chose a size large based on the chart size given. The glove fits perfectly. The overall length is correct and the stalls are snug but not tight. The stall length is perfect for my fingers. The "feel" is not that of leather only but I can still feel enough of the string to control a shot. It did take a little getting used to but after the first fifty or so arrows it was fine. The release is smooth and I can shoot all I like without my fingers hurting. The material and grantsmanship is excellent. This is the most comfortable glove I have ever used. I'm glad I overlooked the negative comments and gave this one a try.

Yes without a second thought

Very good glove for heavy draw weight, however with lighter bows 45# and under I was prone to having release problems as I could not feel the string. Lucky form me all my bows are 60#, and with the heavier bow the release is clean and the extra material on the finger tips lets me keep my actual finger tips.

As close to perfection as you can get

I ordered this glove directly from American Leathers as I wear an XXL and it is the best glove I have ever used. I gap shoot for competition and this glove replaced my cordovan tab almost instantly when I got it about two years ago. Since that time I have used it in shooting well over 3,000 arrows and it is still going strong. This included shooting bows as light as 25 pounds read more and as heavy as 75 pounds. Good protection with all of them and a clean release.

I would buy this product again

I like practicing and 3D shoots (Who doesn't?). This glove is better for my fingers shoting my 50# recurve than thinner gloves. Good release characteristics. Very durable. It's worth the price.

Must buy glove

I use this glove to practice and better my overall form and accuracy with, I love to shoot and my other glove left my fingers hurting and prevented me from shooting for days after after practicing for an hour or two, but I heard a lot of good things abt this glove and it doesn't disappoint. I'm all about quality over quantity and this glove is very good quality, the only thing I've read more had a problem with is getting the Velcro wrist strap on all the way but other than that I can shoot up to 3 hours without my fingers hurting.

Best glove ever

Not that I am aware of. I would suggest reach out to American Leathers directly to see if they can re-stitch it though. As they would have the proper equipment to handle it. If you send us pictures of the glove, we can do this on your behalf as well.

The Elk fits small. It'll loosen up a little but not much. Super soft though and it wears like iron. I'm a weenie and only pull 45# but it looKs new after a year of use. I'd get the elk but try a size larger than usual. Jeff Matthes

There is no difference in the performance of these two glove mat 9 years ago

There is no difference in the performance of these two glove materials. Both are get soft and comfortable and have excellent feel. The buffalo glove is the one shown in the picture. It is a darker brown color and the elk is a more yellow color. I have one of each and can not tell a difference when shooting it's all what your color preference is.

I honestly do Not know. That is a lot of shooting for one night. So far I have had this glove for several years and have been very pleased with it's wear. It hasn't worn a groove to a point that I would retire my glove for a new one. I have been using this glove since 2007 and it is still awesome but, I have never shot 300 arrows in one evening. I hope this helps. Sent from my iPhone
