This armguard is one for the classic bowhunter. The two layer leather construction provides outstanding protection where it counts and still shows off the armguard's classic style. The armguard uses the popular stretch cord and hook attachment system for a secure fit and still being easy-on/off. Very hard to adjust. Elastic is too thick for leather tunnel, too thick for little round slides and too short to permit much adjustment. An absolute pain to put on. I prefer this type of arm guard, but prefer a different method of attaching it. On the positive side, very well made and good leather. I'll get smaller gauge elastic.
Good product
Guard is well made. Takes a few minutes to adjust but will give you a custom fit.
Good all-around arm guard
My dad had me shooting recurve since I was big enough to pull one (about 5 yoa). This guard is sturdy and offers good protection. I thought it was fairly easy to adjust and fits well once adjusted. No velcro to wear out like my previous ones. Good look to it. Definitely not to "Medieval" or "Native American" if you are concerned about that. No air vents, but I've worn it in… read more the heat of summer with no complaints. Had mine about over a year shooting almost daily and it is wearing great. I have shorter, slightly large forearms. Mine is adjusted almost all the way out. I haven't hunted with it so can't comment on how it would feel with thicker clothing in cold weather. My favorite so far and just ordered my adult son one as he was starting to eyeball mine a little too much....
It does what I wanted it to do.
I wanted a stiff leather arm guard and this does the job perfectly. Easy on and off, good quality.
Durable and looks good
This thing takes forever to adjust, but once you get it set up it will pretty much last you forever. It's very tough, hard leather (as compared to say the Hawkwood bracers). I've been shooting with it over a year now and it still looks basically new. Looks cool too.
Stout Armguard
Fits great, feels great... thick leather, feels like it will last a long time.
Perfect.
Well designed and constructed of high quality materials. Comfortable and easy to put on and take off.
Outstanding Arm Guard and a terrific value.
Simply an outstanding design and works well both in the field while hunting both large and small game and for more simple affairs in the backyard shooting target archery with family and friends. I highly recommend this particular arm guard and plan to replace it with another one in the event this one wears out many years down the road. Enjoy your time outdoors. Michael
Classic armguard is only one I will use
I like the comfort. Thick enough to protect from string slap. I do not usually get string slap but it gives me assurance to wear it. It keeps your long sleeve "coat" away from the string. Also it is easy to adjust easy to take on and off. It is soft but thick leather and I really like it. This is my fourth armguard and the first time trying the classic.... probably be the… read more only one I will ever use in the future.
Very good product, timely delivery.
Well made, good price, prompt delivery. Happy camper.
Yes this is adjustable.
Yes this is able to be adjusted.
When I bought this item I had the same question. To answer it, yes. It's highly adjustable for both small and large forearms. And can be made nice and snug. It's saved my arms a couple times while learning.
Yes, it is fully adjustable to fit most teen-adults. However may be difficult to tighten correctly for children Sent from my iPhone
No, it can be used on either arm. The hooks will be upside down if you switch arms.
The leather is 7 1/2" wide. The elastic is one piece and just looped up through the holes so the whole piece is adjustable.
I just received my armguard and it's 6.5" wide, not 7.5". My arms are thin and I am 5'8". The elastic bands are pretty long but you can adjust them very easily.
