Makes a classic looking arrow
I selected this shaft for the light wood grain and white crest for an easy to track (in flight) arrow.I added 100 grain brass inserts and 150 grain broadheads, then fleched them with 5" bright stripe. The 400 spine with this combo weighs over 515 grain at 28.5 in and balances at about 11 inches back from the business end.I am very pleased with the uniformity, accuracy and finish on… read more the shafts but have not used them on their intended target , yet.
I would buy this product again
Using these arrows for target shooting at present time. Exchanged the included 3D nocks with standard super nocks.
Great 34" Shafts!
Great shafts! Glad to see these offered in 34", especially the lighter spines!
Depends on your draw length and arrow length. I use 700 spine with 125gr point, 27" arrow on a 35@26 draw. A 29" arrow at a full 40@28" draw will probably be a 600 with a 125gr or heavier point.
We do not have any that will fit that arrow.
My 59 Kodiak was 40@28, I drew to 26" and used a 27" arrow. 700 spine worked good with a 100gr point. If you are going to use a 28-29" arrow with 125gr or more point, I would try a 600 spine.
The inserts are labeled as 5/16 but that is not the actual inner diameter of the shafts. They mark it like that to signify it is Eastons standard arrow ID which is .246 common for most their 5/16" shafts. The 9/32 just meet up to the wall thickness better.
The Easton CarbonLegacy Carbon Shafts are listed at the top of page 76 in the catalog. The chart shows the point size as 5/16". In the middle of page 76, the brass inserts show 5/16". I cannot find any reference to these shafts using 9/32" field tips. I use 5/16" field tips and they fit correctly. Clayton Morrice
The 5/16" Easton Brass insert will be the correct size #0255x
