Easton Gamegetter® XX75 Aluminum Shafts - Dozen Reviews

Just look at the history

I added 5" turkey feathers RW. They are beautiful and shoot well from my old Hoyt/Easton Pro Hunter set at 60# 31" length.

Simply the best.

I have used the Easton XX75 shafts for over 30 years. I tried other brands and materials but always come back to these. They are perfectly straight and hold up very well. This is the only brand I will use from now on.

Great option for gettin over 800 grain arrows

I purchased these for shooting 3D target archery within heavily wooded course. I shoot a 40# traditional recurve. I am still working on my accuracy so aluminum shafts are more durable and easier to find (with a metal detector). The weight of these is pretty light for aluminum and the trajectory is flatter. Bare-shaft tuning of these was a bit challenging with the point glued in read more because the nock isn't easily removed. Removing the nock is do-able but there is a risk of damaging the nock insert/bushing. If you plan to tune these like carbon shafts (cutting nock end) one might consider purchasing some UNI bushings and nocks.

High quality shafts.

Much heavier than carbon arrows. Not as fragile and safer when abused in hunting situations.

These are are some of the finest at a good price. Using my recurve and these arrows are a match made in heaven.

Love these arrows

I cut these to 29.5 in, fletched them with 5 in goose feathers and put on 100 gr FP tips, and they are the best arrows I have found for straight, consistent shooting using a thumb ring with heavier poundage recurve (60 lbs).

Excellent arrow

I bought these to use at 3d shoots ,roving and target practice because of the price.I was impressed with the quality for price(easton product ) cant really go wrong .After many practice shots i noticed my groups were tighter than with my legacy shafts ,I switched from field points to broad heads with the same results. These arrows are now in my bow quiver .If you like shooting aluminum read more give these a serious look.

Accurate Arrow

Great arrow shafts

I have had 3 Rivers build arrows for me using these Easton shafts and finally decided I should try building my own so I ordered a set of bare shafts. They cut easily to length using a small hobby/craft high speed cutter I bought, they were easy to chamfer and inserts installed easily and securely. The fletching jig worked to perfection once I got my feather placement where I wanted read more it. Once the work was completed they shot very well using my Bear longbow (to the point where I had better not aim at the same spot twice- at least across the back yard). The first batch of arrows I ordered are still in very good shape after 18 months of use (aside from one broken knock- from another arrow hitting it on my target). I'll continue to use Easton shafts for future build projects!

I need to buy some inserts to install screw in field points for X75 500 spline arrows. (Some came off in the target) I can't find a chart with this information. What size do I need.?

Hi there, i want to shoot 250 grain broadheads out of a 40# samick discovery 62" I want to use the xx75 gamegetter, i have a 30" drawlength and want to use a 31" arrow, what spine would you recommend? 500 or 400? Thx for your time again! Brad J

Of course you always need to tune for your individual set up, but at 40# I would think a 500 spine would work even at that length. Having said that, with 250 grains up front you are going to weaken the spine so you may end up playing with your broadhead weight or jumping up to the 400. Never a black and white answer!

I would recommend a 2016 depending on the length you cut your arrow , you will need a 58" string .

If you call your order in we can do that. We do warn that the posted lengths in the chart (from Easton) are not guaranteed. The shafts could even be slightly different lengths too. Which is why online we require a cut to go with it. Makes sure they all end up the same, agreed to, length.

I have a 31" draw and require a 2117 or a 400 spine arrow. The aluminum game getters state that they are 31-3/8" long. will I have the clearance for my broadheads?

If your draw length is 31" from your anchor to the front edge of the bow you would have 3/8" of clearance. If you measure draw length slightly different then you may not have that much clearance.
