Bone Breaking Penetration, Not so Good Durability.

Angel Valley Assassin

I was excited for these arrows. Loved that 3 Rivers Archery offered them in a half dozen. The design of the taper did as advertised and offered a naturally built in F.O.C. 3 Rivers did a great job with cutting the arrows down to 29.25" for me. With that said final arrow weight with stock components, a wrap, 3 Blazer vanes, and a 100 grain point, came to 500 grains. These arrows read more showed great penetration on the one deer I shot with them. Had to make a follow up shot to harvest the deer, which brings me to why I am so disappointed in this arrows. Both arrows broke about halfway up the arrow. A clean break, no bend, just a clean break. I was really hoping to gain some durability with the FMJ's, which is all the hype I heard about FMJ's. Not with this model. At close to $30 for just the arrows itself, I can't justify to continue to use them if they are so brittle in the field. That is no nock on the price, I willing to pay a premium price for premium arrows.

Factory cut at 32 inches. You can remove up to 4 inches from ins 4 years ago

Factory cut at 32 inches. You can remove up to 4 inches from insert end indicated by a MAX cut line printed on shaft. If you need less than 28 inch shaft you can remove from knock end. I shoot a 28 inch arrow. I removed 3 inches from insert end and 1 inch from knock end.
