My husband loved it.

My husband loves the flaker tool, and the billet. He kind of wished the pieces of rock were a little better sized but he did love the different types. Also, a better description of the material in the box would be great.

Great little kit

Great kit but the directions are alittle sucky and hard to understand.

Great product for the price!

Bought this kit for my 10 year old son, he loved it! It has everything you need to get started. He has already made several arrowheads and each one gets better. His only complaint is the pressure flaker wears quickly.

Great little kit for getting started.

Could use more illustrations in instructions, esp. how to hold stone. I looked for youtube videos of the method. I can shape the stone, but no sharp edge yet.

Perfect starter kit

Yes, the aluminum takes the place of antler. Actually, antler is very durable, but more difficult to use. I think copper is better.

It comes with good instructions, but it would be easyier for some people if they could watch a DVD. Below is a link to a great book and DVD that will short the learning period. http://www.3riversarchery.com/Books+DVD%27s+Primitive+The+Art+of+Flint+Knapping_c42_s18_p224_i4066_product.html http://www.3riversarchery.com/Books+DVD%27s+How-To+Art+of+Flint+Knapping+DVD_c42_s33_p57_i3090-1_product.html

There is no guarantee on the size of the pieces. They come in preportioned bags. Normally there will be at least one larger piece and then a variety of smaller pieces in the package. You should be able to get at least one knife sized piece.
