Would not buy again
I am a traditional longbow archer and wanted to protect my bow hand from the fletching, this will do that but not comfortably.
Nice glove, perfect for my needs
This glove is perfect in that it is light and comfortable and protects the top of my thumb from fletchings.
Beat customer service ever
I ordered the medium and it was slightly too big so I sent it back asking to exchange it for a small. I got a call from the 3Rivers office saying that they got my return but didn't carry a smaller size. So I thought about having her send it back to me and I would have it seen smaller - it's fairly simple - but functional. But she wanted to make it right so she said she would talk… read more to the manufacturer. I gave approximates on how much smaller the thumb and finger needed to be. 4 weeks later I got a new new glove that fit perfectly in my teensy fingers. Thanks so much! Perfect fit, fast shipping - great quality.
Runs a tad small
I ordered a large as that seemed to be the best size for my hand. The finger loops run a little tight, especially on the index finger. I anticipate it will stretch and loosen up as I use it. Otherwise, its a pretty comfortable fit.
Very disappointed.
I was extremely disappointed in this glove. It cost about $25 with shipping and is worth about $5. The pro is it is Made in the US. The cons are it is thin, poorly made and just not a good mate compared to the shooting glove I bought from them that I was very happy with.
Great for Asiatic archery to protect the bow hand thumb
I have read the criticism that the leather is thin. I remedied this by gluing on a patch of thick leather where the arrow passes. Works perfectly and I can replace this piece as it wears down. The leather is soft and I am pleased that I ordered the medium, though I take a large. This assured a 'form fit'. The glove size is true to size, however, and if you do not like a snug fit,… read more order according to the Three Rivers sizing chart. I ordered this after embedding half an inch of feather into my thumb which was not fun. As mentioned in the headline, I am using this for an Asiatic bow, where the arrow passes over the thumb. It works perfectly for that. Now I can shoot with confidence that I will not be leaking blood. I will also use this for my English longbow.
Comfortable And Tight Fitting
I think I'm between sizes. The medium feels a little small and I'm sure the large will be too big. It's a soft supple leather so I'm hoping it will stretch out.
Good protection
Seems a bit thin, but does the job - keeps my hand from getting sliced by feathers/vanes. Comfortable fit.
I buy this product
Great product
Great product
This was bought as a gift for my son to go with the self bow he got for Christmas. After seeing the quality and functionality I will be buying another for myself. Both lightweight and durable.
It has worked for me. Another thing I am doing now is adding a little serving at the front of the fletching.
Our sizing runs the same as stander gloves if you where a mans med then I would get a mens med
Can't give you much info on this one, but I am a man with small hands and wear a man's large in this glove and it fits comfortably for me.
I have this bowglove and recommend it. As far as measurement goes, I'm 5'10" with medium size hands for a man (about 8" around the knuckles, as you have measured it). The Hawkwood Bowglove fits me just fine. It does kind of crinkle a little between the thumb and forefinger (a bit like the picture). I haven't found this to be a problem in the least. I think its a good value.

These are brown in color and will vary slightly due to them being leather.
I'm sorry but we have never carried that glove in a small size. The smallest we have that glove in is a medium.
Yes you may.

The left hand means you wear it on your left hand. So a right handed shooter (pulls string with right hand) would order a left hand bow glove.
Yes, you purchase and order the actual hand it will be worn on. I shoot right-hand and ordered a "Left hand Glove". You'll like it!
As stated in the item description: "Order for the hand you will wear it on; right hand shooters order LH; left hand shooters order RH."
It means that it goes on the left hand, or your bow hand. Hope this helps.
The Hawkwood bow glove is only available in one color at this time, and the brown color can vary. Right now, the brown we have is a light color brown, not dark like the image shows.
The color of this is a buckskin tan and seems to be the only color offered. The light color makes it easy to dye though.
The leather is thin, about 1/16", but is a high quality leather that will provide plenty of protection and durability.
