Absolutely worthless. Too weak -- even with ratchets -- to cut pencil-sized branches. I bought to cut branches when turkey hunting. Bought another one for my wife's garden. Will return both. Only thing I've ever bought from 3 Rivers that wasn't first-rate. Maybe mine was a fluke.
Heavy-Duty Ratchet Shears
Excellent quality tool that does the job trimming branches with very little effort. It comes in orange which makes it hard to lose. It locks in place when it is closed which makes it handy to carry with you. Also, it is rust proof.
Multi squeezes too awkward
It takes too many squeezes to cut an average limb as the first cut leaves just enough of the limb to prevent it from severing completely. Very awkward when cutting briars. I used it for about five minutes when cutting a path to my stand site and then switched to the shears that I had robbed from my wife's gardening box several years earlier. I gave the shears to a friend after I explained the shortcomings. At least he knows what to expect.
