An armguard can be a crucial piece of equipment for the beginner archer, and the Perfect Fit Armguard's smaller size makes it a great option for ladies and kids ages 12 and up. With two layers of quality, supple water buffalo leather, this armguard provides protection as well as flexibility. Featuring an overall length of 6 ¾", it also works well for adults who prefer an armguard that protects, but has less chance of interference due to the smaller size. ...read more

Solid purchase
Does its job.
A+ Perfect Size for men too!
If you have good form, you dont need a armgaurd, but its part of the traditional experience. Like Fred with no hat. Just have to have one. Size wise its as long as any of the more expensive ones and the width works just fine for any grown man. Im 6` with good size arms. Not sure why it says for women and kids. It would work for them just fine too. I make my own heavy duty tooled… read more leather armgaurds, and while I was working on one, I needed something for a 3d archery league I was shooting on and liked he green one with stitching, I shoot green Kodiaks. The color of the green cord matches the logo green on the 70`s green Kodiaks too.I can only speak for the green model. With the soft leather back, stitching makes for a quality product. I didnt see it on the brown one in the pics. Right out of the package it worked just fine and thats how I used it all summer. Im the kind of guy that cant leave things alone though so I made a change to the cord. I found the 2mm cord it comes with to be just fine and easy to stretch. For people like me you could tweek it a little. The cord could be replaced with 1/8" cord from any hobby shop ($2 for 5 yards) which is thicker if someone wanted something stronger. I use the 1/8" on my home made ones but its not necessary. I took the cord off, cut it in half, melted the ends just a tiny bit with a lighter, punched a extra hole in each corner and got rid of the cord and large double not on the inside of the gaurd. The knot is easy to untie to adjust for over hunting clothes, and the cord is long enough to move the knot 2" to make the season change. After reading a few neg comments, I cant find anything neg to say about this product. I found it to be very soft compared to my tooled leather and super comfortable, super easy on and off. Great value for the price. Dont think twice if you need a armgaurd in the price range.
Does the job just fine
Good arm band for the money, it offers good protection and easy on/off. The elastic cords seem a little flimsy and that they might stretch out over time but I think it will do well for a couple seasons. It's nothing special but it does the job just fine.
There are better options out there
i got this in the Samick Sage adult kit and it was fine for the first few shots until the bow string hit one of the straps and i have been struggling to fix it in hindsight it was probably bad luck but im still mad
Awesome
Nothing fancy, just plain and simple but it works!!
Great product
Great product but not tight enough for me
Worth every penny
It was a tad stiff when I first put it on , but after a good little sweating it softened up and conformed to my forearm . I had been shooting for weeks without an armguard and had a rather large bruise where I would ocasionaly get slapped . This has stopped it . I know there are better quality and more expensive options but I realy like the look and feel of this one and it quite… read more simply does its job well. Not disappointed at all . Thanks 3riveres
It works for me.
After looking through the catalog it appears that except for the period dress arm guards that they are all about the same length. This one works for me and was not that expensive.
Love This
I love this arm guard. I love the simple style and the ease of adjustment. The leather softened up quickly.
The only way to make the straps bigger would be to cut those off and use a new stretch cord to the size you would need. Item 5312 would be the replacement stretch cord.
Round elastic is available at sewing supply stores or on line. Just replace the elastic that came with the arm guard with a longer one. Sent from my iPhone
.. You would have to replace the elastic cord. Go to a camping supply store and pick up a 'spool' of new cord, cut each one to the desired length and re-tie to the arm guard. I had to do the same....
at the widest point it is 5 3/8
This arm guard is 7" long.
