Very nice quiver.
A nice quiver for use on the range.
Yes I would buy this item again.
I use it for target shooting and hunting. The picture in the catalog doesn't do this quiver justice. I was amazed how well it was made when I unwrapped it! If I was to make this quiver it would be exactly like this. Thank you for carrying such a well made functional product!
Glade I bought it
Made the right belt to match my Knights. Templar archer outfit.
Would buy again, sooner
This quiver is made of very good leather (well worth the $$$). I treated it with mink oil just because I like to "tinker" with stuff. The leather belt loop holds the arrows a bit high so I use a light snap link to hang it from a belt loop or pocket (depending upon my attire). I tried making a quiver using tarpaulin which works fine, but it's obviously home made. The Pope… read more and Young quiver is miles ahead of 'home made'. Were I able to modify it, I'd make it about 4 inches deeper so the arrows would not be under my arm. A small utility pocket would be nice. As for modifying, I did add a soft foam piece cut to the circular shape of the bottom to protect it from sharp arrow points.
I'd buy it again
The construction is excellent, heavy and very soft leather, sown tightly. I added some 'foam' pieces to protect the bottom from sharp arrow points.
I would buy again.
Needs a thicker bottom, especially for broadheads. I also wish it was a couple inches longer. I reinforced the bottom and glued sheep shearing around inside top which really silenced Arrow rattle.
Works for me
quality, had to move around a bit on a belt to make arrows not rattle. Used seperate belt so could adjust as needed and carry my belt hatch as well to easily chop arrows out of stumps. I typically carry different types of arrows with me like blunts, broadheads, etc... and found no problem. quiver road best for me right around the forward seem of my back pocket.
Leather bag
This is a leather bag you can build easily, who cares the antler button. Everybody knows you are coming, the 12 arrows rattle noisily, I am going to add a arrow separator like the one the medieval canvas arrow bag has, probably I will have 8 or 9 arrows only but without noise and movement.
Really nice quiver
If you like a traditional looking belt quiver then this is the one for you. The leather is top quality and very well made. In fact, the quality of leather and construction,(sewing, stitching, so forth)is worth mentioning again. I love mine.
Pope and Young Belt Quiver
quality construction...easy to use and not burdonsome....I can fit many arrows in quiver and access them easily...leather looks good and is durable
This quiver will sit vertically on your side.
Yes, you can put broadheads in this quiver. You can use almost any quiver for hunting. Whether it is a side quiver, hip quiver, back quiver, or bow quiver is a matter of personal preference. If you have any further questions about specific quivers give us a call at 1-866-587-9501.
I use it for my small game blunt arrows. It works great, but it will allow the arrows to rattle and make noise if you are not careful. For broadheads, I use a belt quiver that is designed to hold 6 individual arrows securely in place. I don't use a bow quiver that attached to my bow.
yes...why not?...I use a bow quiver currently...but the Pope and Young would do OK
