Very good product!
I hunt game with traditional equipment. Longbow, wood shafts, and flint arrowheads. I use sinew to attach the arrowheads and strengthen the shaft below them.
Great product
Having sinew processed is a real time saver. All you have to do is soak the sinew until soft then apply. I use this primarily for tying on feathers to arrow shafts and repair work on self bows. Both hide glue and Barge cement work well with sinew.
Excellent Product for Primitive Arrow Making
This is a great product for anyone who wants to make primitive style arrows but does not want to wait until a successful deer season or have to endure the mess and effort of stripping and pounding sinews themselves.. These are already processed for the most part... I use them for fletching primitive arrows, and also for reinforcing hand cut self nocks by wrapping it a few times… read more around the arrow shaft close to the nock and above the fletching..
Very nice product
I have been pounding my own sinew. But your processed sinew saves me time and is better than I have done so far. I make tomahawks, war clubs and arrows with back strap sinew. This is a good and easier to use product.
As advertised
I use many products in the creation of my Art and or reenactment items, This being as natural as it gets and as advertised I am totally satisfied. I see no reason an arrow fetcher or Flint Napper would not agree ... Get some, have fun with your own ideas!
Back sinew
I never worked with real sinew before so it was a learning curve. not as easy at first as artificial thread, but way better in the long term,. But it came as I expected and dried out even better then I hoped. You just can't fake real sinew. :-)
PROCESSED BACK SINEW
THE PROCESSED SINEW IS GENERALLY THE BEST SELECTED SINEWS.I STILL HAMMER IT A BIT UNTIL IT TURNS FROM BROWNISH TO A EVEN AMBER COLOR.IT COMES APART FAIRLEY EASY AND COMBS OUT INTO LONGER THREADS THAN THE LEG SINEW.WHEN I PULL IT A APART I KEEP A FAN BLOWING BEHIND ME SO THE TISSUE DUST BLOWS AWAY.SINEW IS AMAZINGLY STRONG AND VERY PLYABLE AND EASY TO APPLY WHEN MOIST.
typically most guys will use 8 to 10 bundles of sinew for backing a bow. I would not go over two layers of sinew. If you stack the sinew on the bow you may run into issue with it not wanting to stay on the bow or if it lifts it may all come off. Also the more you back the bow the more tiller you may have to do.
Since it is an approximate size as all sinew is individually different, Typically most guys will use 8 to 10 bundles of sinew for backing a bow. I would not go over two layers of sinew, however 8-10 packs of the Processed Back Sinew should finish up a 68 inch bow with 3 layers.

We have different sinew offered on our website.
I get my sinew from 3rivers archery, I am very pleased with the quality and the amount they send. Its ready for chewing and hafting.
This is real sinew.
Yes it is. I ordered 7 of them last year. Was pleased.
Real sinew.
It's real. If it's artificial it will be listed as such.
These are sold by the each and are about 12" in length. This one is pre pounded.
I do not recall the weight of the bundle of sinew. It was about a foot in length, and well smaller than my little finger in size. sorry I remember more.
You should be able to get one dozen feathers with one piece of sinew.
Unfortunately we do not.
I would recommend 8 packs.
The processed back sinew is made from Whitetail deer.
It is one leg sinew that is pounded so weight vary.
