Robin Hood Bracer with Embroidery Reviews

Beautiful yet functional

Lina

Very beautiful bracer, made with great craftsmanship. The embroidery is excellent and exquisite--none of that cheap, widely-spaced stuff. I only wish it came in a smaller size or ladies sizing, so it'd better fit petite arms like mine. (I had to return it, sadly, for the non-embroidered version because it was too long for me to use effectively; I seriously considered keeping it read more just for the quality and looks, though. )

Good but

better than the standard ones that are on here, but the leather part in the hand is kind of thin but fits better, It feels like it will rip if to much strain is put on it, the rest of the brace is simply amazing .

Great quality with en edge issue

As a guard this is amazing. It was made beautifully and fits wonderfully! The only issue I have with it is with the inside edge near the elbow. It isn't held tight against the arm and sticks out slightly. This causes the bowstring to occasionally get caught between your arm and the guard edge.

Beautiful Perfection

I am still considered a beginner of archery. I have been using my teacher's armguard and felt that it was time for my own. I picked this armguard not only because it was beautiful and fits my personality, but because it looked as if it was of good quality. I was right. It is well made and is holding up wonderfully. I am a woman and purchased the regular men's size. It fits read more me perfectly. I could not be more happy.

Excellent bracer/bow glove combo!

Originally, I debated heavily with myself over buying this item, as though I loved the look and convenience of having both a bracer and bow glove in one, the price seemed a bit steep. I am glad that I took the chance, however, and I'll tell you why. The bracer is constructed extremely well. It features two layers of 4 oz top grain leather with a sueded underside. This allows read more for good protection while still providing unhindered arm movement. The stitching is excellent, and after using this steadily for the past six months, shows no signs of unraveling or breakage. The bracer is very comfortable to wear, even for extended periods of time (Renfest!). My archery sessions usually last 1-2 hours, and the bracer never gets uncomfortable, and doesn't require adjustment constantly, as some I have used in the past do. As another reviewer mentioned, the cord that it comes with might not be long enough if you have big forearms. That was the case with me, however I decided to just take off the cord and replace it with a longer piece of 1/8" latigo lace. Not only does this eliminate any problems as far as fit goes, but it looks much better IMO! Overall, if you're looking for a great bracer to complement your medieval or fantasy archery wardrobe, something that would be equally at home on the range or at a Renfest, you cannot go wrong with this bracer. Well worth the money, you won't be disappointed!

Quality Bracer, but not big enough

Very cool looking bracer and built very solid. Should last for years an years easily with heavy use. Downside though is that I'll never know as I'll be returning it. The bracer should fit anyone with slim, normal, and even slightly larger than normal hand/wrist/forearm sizes. Unfortunately that's not me. My hands, wrist and forearms are too big to fit into this bracer. With read more it unlaced 100% I was able to get it over my hand and about 2/5ths of the way up my forearm. There was no way it was going to go up my forearm as far as it was supposed to unless I relaced it with longer laces. So, bottom line: great product and I'd recommend it to anyone...unless your hands and forearms have some serious girth to them.

A beautiful bracer.

Bought this as a birthday present to myself and was very surprised when I opened it and saw how incredible it looked. I was expecting the quality to be less than it was and I would definitely recommend it. It gives protection over the entire arm and protects my hand great too. I was concerned it might not fit my small arm, but it is adjustable enough to fit me and my much heavier read more friends (I ordered the smallest size available). I thought it also might show signs of ware on the embroidery work early on, but even after quite a bit of shooting, my bracer still looks like I just got it yesterday. Its a fantastic piece that looks and works wonderfully.

These bracers are laced all the way up. You may be able to use the sizes that we do have available. The medium should be close to fitting. You can tighten the laces to make the bracer significantly smaller. As of right now we do not have any plans to introduce a smaller size. I suggest the idea to management.

They are a little wider than our women's sizes that we offer in the standard Robin Hood Bracer. You would have to wrap them around the arm a little tighter to get them to fit. We may pick women sizes up at a later date, but at this point we just have the men's sizing as they have been the more popular.

Hi   I shoot European style so I don't have this problem and my Robin Hood bracer works well for me.   Extra protection for the bow hand - for people who use a thumb release - could be provided by adding either a whole or half 'thumb' - (like from a glove) - to the bracer rather than the thumb hole which is there currently. I've attached a couple of photos of examples I found on other websites which are designed for this kind of shooting. It would mean an adaption to the current design.   Hope this is helpful.   Michele Walter.

Try moving your hand around. It doesnt matter as long as it is comfortable and not kicking the arrow. If you are shooting a bow with no shelf try the otherside just have fun play around do what feels right. Good hunting see you out there.
